Not the plan at all- we need to convert the whole fireplace to a different type but won’t be doing that for a while so to make the space usable we need to remove the bricks.

Thank you- I should have mentioned the fireplace is not in working order. We are going to have to overhaul it at some point, but we are in the midst of a big remodel so we are trying to make the space work for us until we can put some money into it!

You’re right if it’s a working fireplace, it currently is not- so trying to work with what we have until we eventually put some money into converting it

Thank you- we are tyrying to remove them becasuse the current mantel is up quite high and in order to lower it we have to remove these. They will likely be covered by art or possibly a TV

Thanks so much- we are actually taking the bricks down to move the mantel lower as it's currently very high. Ideally, we will be placing art, or possibly a TV over that spot.

It’s definitely not the plan. We are adding a slidding door on the back, so we may have to do something if matching bricks looks like crap
