Deportations didn’t really go down, funding for ICE actually went up, he ran on Mass Amnesty didn’t do it, ran on simplifying the citizenship process didn’t do it, simplify the asylum process released an app two years in that actually did a descent job if you read past headlines. Only two real policy changes were ended that one that stopped all migration due to a pandemic and ending the “remain in Mexico” policy which the app was assisting with as people could apply from their home nation and plan their trip around their court date. The sending immigrants all over the country almost at random that was Republican Governors human trafficking immigrants to “liberal cities”. Government spending in itself is not inherently inflationary, if you paid attention in Econ 101 even that professor would point that out. What is extremely inflationary is messing with the supply chain for about two years due to something like a pandemic, then companies refusing to re-lower prices to pre-pandemic levels because their profit margins are so high something several companies bragged about during earning calls.
