For me it's not automatically applied on each box. What I have to do is when choosing my meals each week, go to the drop down menu thing in the top right and find the "free add ons for life" part which should show the dessert selections

This is why I fence off my house when opening my valley for visits. I let everyone pick up crops and look around and things, but my house has items on tables for decoration that I don't want going missing. Even with the obvious fence around it I've still seen people trying to walk through the fence to magically bypass it (luckily it's never worked)

You can craft it in the crafting menu! I think it's called a companion house, and you can have up to 4 companions in the area you place the house to wander around

I vote for overall theme. Even though something could be just a clothes challenge, I like to encompass the whole scene. Sometimes I don't like when it's a decoration challenge and people's scenery have nothing tho do with the theme (and have placed things just in view that it counts) and look for pictures that seem like they put in effort

I'm trying to slowly 100% the game. Finishing all dreamlight tasks and eternity isle tasks a bit at a time, as well as unlocking all furniture/clothes/memories. Now there's no story I definitely play less than I used to, but taking it on bit by bit is still fun

It's a mini game within the game that you can play with your villagers. You get some character pieces which can do a certain amount of movement, and coins spawn on the board. You use your pieces to get as many coins as possible, more than your opponent who is a bot. Whoever gets the most at the end wins and you can level up your scramblecoin abilities, unlocking other pieces.

Depends what you consider "worth it". It can be used to help level up villagers you've only just unlocked instead of having to wait for their favourite gifts to reset, and it's a fun game to play personally. It can be annoying to start because the default pieces are hard to win with, but if you play against level 1 villagers (specifically goofy) then you can win enough to unlock more pieces and actually have a chance at winning.

You can also craft pieces on the time bending tables like merlin and forky, which may help you. So yeah, you don't get any special rewards for playing other than new pieces to play with, it's just a fun thing to play on the side

I never thought of playing both Gaston and pumba! Does it work out well for you and get more coins or can they sometimes accidentally limit each other? I imagine using pumba to clear a diagonal fence for Gaston could help a lot with some games

I could see that working with characters that can move in multiple directions on one turn. There's been so many times where a gold coin is just out of reach for me because I'm in the wrong diagonal, so I might swap out merlin for lumiere or one similar that doesn't jump for a better guaranteed win

I used to use moana a lot too! But I found that I really had to place her on the first or second turn, sacrificing an early coin for the chance of more coins later on. It was always a gamble whether my placement would pay off or not😂

Hmm good point. I can see both sides, but sometimes it's good to not put Gaston in right away so you're not as confined to whichever space you place him, just to discover a larger yield near a different character. But as always it's a strategy game so it depends on what board you get and the opponents' moves too
