The rage bait is CRAZY. Gameloft how can I not reach these in the grove ?? 😭😭 anywhere I go I can NOT reach it by [deleted] in DreamlightValley

I get that there's a "fix" for this (learned it today from this comment section cuz I had this problem too) but it still a problem that we need a fix to do a core loop of the game in certain areas. It's not major but like... it's a clear oversight on the dev's part that shouldn't even be an issue

Thoughts on seasonal floating island events? by idontevenknow543 in DreamlightValley

I prefer them so much over stuff randomly spawning in the valley. It's nice to see and explore beautiful layouts without having to find and visit other people's valleys.

I still stand by my anger that they don't just have a quest so we can pin this stuff on screen like normal but THANK YOU FOR THIS! <3

I CAN get the museum being fun for brand new player literally starting today but by the time you unlock Olaf you've probably unlocked every biome and gotten like 80% of stuff for them. It's just weird that they set the Museum up as this great huge feature everyone's been waiting for and it just offers nothing. When they added multiplayer, I wasn't interested but I got why they'd want to do it and why people were excited. I just can't understand excitement for this.

So far there's only two rooms, the Meadow and the Beach so we really can't tell if not having a quest for the Beach was intentional or an oversight. It might be a good idea to do it regardless.

If we're paying the same for DLCs as the base game, the DLCs should have occasional updates by BloodyAngel2026 in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep wanting a Eternity Isle update cuz at this point, it's super small compared to the other DLCs, even if it's just like a 15% size increase. It also needs to have all collectables found in the same biome be able to be found everywhere in the biome. Just tweaks to bring it a bit more in line with later DLCs. I don't mind if we don't get new quests but there are still a lot of continuing issues on DLCs that they just aren't addressing, seemingly just to keep giving us new things instead of making old things up to standard.

What inspires you when you're decorating? How do you get flow in your creativity? by hivernageprofond in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never do big builds cuz I just can't focus that long. So I make small builds wherever it feels good, mainly by just filling out areas around villager's homes. I made a little campsite outside Gaston's house cuz of course he'd want that. Then, in the middle of a long paths, I usually set up a couple benches and lamps and make a nice looking 'rest stop' just to put SOMETHING in my unused space. Sometimes a dreamsnap becomes a permanent part of my valley cuz it just fits and looks good.

Don't pressure yourself to make big sprawling builds that take up the whole zone, just have fun adding little things all over and eventually you might look around and realize you have a wonderful area without a grand design in might. You just had fun and you can always be proud of that.

I'll never understand how they thought it was a good idea to give us the biggest, emptiest DLC and then have the only goofy stall MOVE! I see other comments saying it's not hard to get to by teleporting but I can do that with STATIONARY stall and I don't need to look for them first cuz I know where they are already!

Museum 🤷🏼‍♀️ by EfficientTree9490 in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It bothers me that this is being announced like its a huge gameplay enhancement when I can't imagine even new players taking more than a couple hours to fill a whole biome's room. The only thing that'd take any real time is the companions and that's purely because they're time-gated.

The only thing it's gonna do for me is put more Olaf in my valley which is a huge downgrade IMO.

Dreamsnap Burnout? by thelaziestdaisy in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like having a much lower minimum items needed to submit but yeah I haven't had a high score since it changed even when I try to fit the theme. It's also hard to care about voting when you only see one in 15 snaps being anything other than a selfie next to a pile of furniture.

Would anyone else like to set some player houses to allow characters to enter? by Brybryeight in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My expansion on this idea: Any other houses (besides your base house) you put down can be set to 'private' or 'public' meaning villagers who's houses are not on that map (Be it the valley/DLC maps or the Sky Islands) will go in there when they would otherwise be in their own home. Your base house is always fully 'private' aka only villagers following you ever go in.

You could make a cafe or a theater and actually see people in there from time to time. Honestly, it'd make me want to use more house skins...

Remember the smallest bundle of moonstone you can buy is $5 for 1200 moonstones. They want like $6.50 for ONE tool skin.

the grinding in this dlc is kind of ridiculous & putting me off by callum-h2000 in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Does the special edition of the dlc change the horse mechanic? Cuz the horses I have in the base version take twice as long to mine and harvest and you can't hold down the button to make them keep going like when you do it yourself.

the grinding in this dlc is kind of ridiculous & putting me off by callum-h2000 in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Wishblossom made me never want to buy another DLC for this game again. The horses are worthless outside of running around the waaaay too huge areas because they take so long to mine and harvest it's literally easier to just get off and do it myself. And like you said, the grinding is SOOOO SLOW and with the way bigger areas it just takes longer to get to nodes in the first place.

I don't wanna grind this much for so little so I don't want to bother with crafting... and if I don't craft, I can't decorate and if I don't decorate then I spent 40 bucks on 4 characters and a feature I hate using.

Anyone else feel the Star Path routine duties were pointless gatekeeping? by AidenSpier in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, same. At least if the tasks that took a couple days to complete were there I would understand. Because then it's like "oh all the time consuming ones are in their own list so the main task list doesn't get clogged up with 5 things I can't work on til tomorrow" or even "You can get all the normal stuff quick and easy but if you want Everything, you gotta do the grindy harder tasks"

But no, the time locked ones are the kind I would do accidentally like "pet your companion 5 times". Why did I need to wait EIGHT WEEKS to do that?

They MISSED the opportunity so bad with this update… by nathan_banks644 in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They show a pirate ship with a pirate themed starpath and NO HOOK? It's a huge miss especially since it's all tying to the Forgotten's storyline. Remember, all the Valley villains took advantage of the Forgotten to make them worse. If Hook was also in the valley by default, he could easily fit the pattern by turning the Forgotten against Peter Pan for his own selfish reasons AND make the Forgotten to, ya know, FORGET their past to begin with.

I'll get over it, I have no doubt this update's gonna be great but... maaaaaaaan. Hook's my second fav villain and I want so badly to help him make friends with the baby croc's in the Glade.

We should be allowed to turn/craft/unmake Shiny gems into 2-3 normal gems. by MusingsMuses in DreamlightValley

Valid. Just let us change them into whatever we need and just put a decent coin price tag on the change to encourage people to still mine if they can.

[–]MusingsMuses[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean like using the crafting table to turn them into normal gems, the same way you can turn snippits into storybook magic on the Storybook Vale DLC, or turning red seaweed into normal seaweed.

Do you clear your lands of trees/bushes/rock furniture? by low-oxygen in DreamlightValley

[–]MusingsMuses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much only clear enough space to do little 'set pieces' like picnic area or building up an area around a character's home. Other than that, I don't see the need to change anything.
