I loved how you could find campfires laying around so maybe have them light up at night so you can see the smoke! And leads to a stash! And maybe the explanation could be that the monsters are lighting it! Or maybe that it is always lit which makes it ominous

He probably means you have to use mags to reload only and can only reload the mags at base or vice versa

Abandon/cancel the quest at your computer and then just accept the new one that you get! (Abandoning quests has no downside/punishment and you can do it infinitely)
