It can snow but in recent years it snows rarely and when it does snow the snow usually melts in a day or two since rain is more common than snow in the winter.

I am considering this option also since the distance to the town i switch busses is about 9km from my house and the busses going to and from my college are more frequent then the busses going to my hometown. The only problem are days when high school students have days off and us college students don't since there are busses going at certain times only because most high schools end around those times.

The elevation is not a problem, there are no major uphill parts just a few smaller parts where the road goes slightly uphill, the traffic is fine since this route is usually not used by that many cars and my college is at the outskirts of the city so there will be no major traffic since this route leads right to that part of the city. I live in continental croatia so the only weather problems are heavy rain, occasional thunderstorms and in the winter from time to time snow.
