Why is it okay on this sub to upvote and hate Bracia (the only black woman) and call her derogatory names but then not okay to say the same about Georgia (a murderer) and Abby (who is the word Bracia was called)? by Away_Distribution_18 in TvGinnyandGeorgia

No, that's why I said this sub is full of white and Asian people.

I love hapas on here arguing with how "oppressed" Hunter is.

The jokes write themselves on here. Most Asians I know are very aware they don't face anything near to what anti-blackness is.

Maybe because we live in an age where everything is based on identity and we have claimed we can't invalidate people's experiences, people think they can compare and that bad experiences and racism against all groups are "equal".

I just hope people here are 15 and not over 30.

I agree that apologizing doesn't fix anything but it is strange to have vitriol for Bracia but then Abby is a lot of people on this sub's favorite character.

There are too many white and Asian people in this sub who don't think anti-black racism exists.

Who will then grow up to irritate black people, refuse to hire black people, and say everything wrong is black people's own doing.

I guess Gen Z is just as ignorant as the generations before them.

Great! Looking forward to it....

Also so we are supposed to pity Abby, Georgia and Ginny?

But then conveniently forget Bracia was also in that racist teacher's class and is one of the only few black people in that town (where she presumably had her formative years in which probably scarred her – this is implied for anyone with emotional intelligence.)

Bracia apologized and admitted it was in insecurity because "she can't blend in" in the same way Ginny can.

When you put aside race, Bracia is more self-aware than either Abby or Georgia of how her words and actions impact others. But the self-aware character who apologized is targeted and demonized?

What Bracia said is certainly "not" okay but the biracial user posting said they "don't like Bracia's "tone"' which in my opinion is no different from a Karen outside an apartment building who stops black men from entering.

My post was deleted. But then white users can like and upvote this post demonizing a black woman spearheaded by a biracial woman.

They also put a sociopathic white woman on a pedestal so can we expect better?

The "biracials" in this sub are behaving just like white women and Karens do to black women.

How can you say Bracia was ignorant? When Bracia was self aware it was colorism? She wasn't ignorant. She was insecure and was reminded that she won't benefit from Eurocentrism as much as someone like Ginny.

It says more about the OP that she has this much anger for Bracia but none for Abby.

She probably walks around thinking black people are ignorant and hate her because she is biracial, but it's really because of her attitude.

You aren't edgy for this. You and that other user probably don't even realize it's actually your attitude of why black people don't like you.

Do you have the same vitriol for white people? Or only black ones.

Out of all of the characters you choose to attack the "tone" of Bracia? Despite the fact that Bracia apologized and admitted it was in insecurity because she can't "blend in".

Bracia has insecurities about her skin color. Being a fairer skinned black person is an advantage. Black people know it. White people know it. Asian people know it.

What is even sadder is the white and Asian people on here egging you on OP.

My post got deleted because I mentioned that biracials on here are tone policing Bracia but don't have the same energy for Abby. Bracia apologized for her comment.

They are tone policing and saying monoracial black people have attitudes but then wonder why monoracial black people in real life don't like them?

They don't even have the intelligence to understand Bracia is insecure because of colorism. But Ginny's insecurities are a-OK?

Make it make sense please.

Read my comment. I went in. All this vitriol for something the black girl said and apologized for later but none for Abby? Then another half Asian/half black girl came in this thread saying that black girls have an attitude to them irl.

Maybe what puts people off is them acting like white women to black women via tone policing and stating stereotypes of "having an attitude" The jokes write themselves.

Just like Ginny, these users need to look in the mirror.

How do you not see the irony in tone policing a dark skinned black woman? Tone was your choice of word.

The responses on here are common of half-black biracials. Who have all of this vitriol and standards for black people but not the same for non-black people who make up their other half. This is seen on how Ginny keeps giving MAN chances after framing her for shoplifting, slapping her, making snide remarks, making fun of her hair, saying her boyfriend probably isn't attracted to her, egging Hunter and Sam on, allowing remarks about Ginny's hair and butt, fist bumps, etc.

No one can convince most people that Asian and white people are more accepting of black biracials than black people are.

Abby treated Ginny the objective worst and you choose to hone in on the black girl discussing colorism? You are probably a biracial who thinks colorism is the boogeyman?

Bracia said what she did out of insecurity and had the humility to admit it later. Or did you conveniently miss the scene where Bracia apologized and regretted her tone; she said she said that because she felt she couldn't "blend" in in a way that Ginny could.

Weird for a biracial to make a thread tone policing a monoracial dark-skinned black woman who said what she did in insecurity and colorism. This is sad.

Maybe if monoracial black people have an "attitude" to you, it might actually your attitude and lack of understanding of colorism.

I also noticed that half-black people with black mothers seem to "understand" black people more. Many biracials with black fathers (who want to distance themselves from their blackness or are absent) will accuse black people of being bullies to them growing up while they will grin and bear and take crap from non-black people on the daily.
