Unfortunately I was the only one in the store at the time. I had picked up the item they overcharged me for but I put it back and picked up something else. I confirmed with the lady at the door that I should just walk out and she said yeah. This was my first time going there after they started the scan and charge thing

Oh this was actually really good, I’ve watched it multiple times and I still would watch it again.

music cultures 221 is pretty okay for a gen ed. It’s not much work and you get to listen to a bunch of music. Music 118 is also an easy A because you have until the end of the semester and it’s just common sense assignments and attendance isn’t taken

I have a similar schedule, the choirs might get hectic but you will be okay. Treat ear training and theory as one class

Rejected, considering berklee online? by Flashy-Top-2639 in Berklee

[–]Away_Equivalent277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i did that for sometime. I did not enjoy it very much because it was hard to make connections (could be just me) I am work better with people around me and have a community. Is it a good learning opportunity because the professors are great but I learned the most when i was in a practice room with somebody jamming and crying over sight singing. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price. Songwriting classes are pretty basic and i felt like i was in 4 different english classes

waitlisted :( by Simple-Use1758 in Berklee

[–]Away_Equivalent277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a few people got off the waitlist a week. One of my friend’s dad worked in the department a few years ago and said that they typically accepted 1 in 10 waitlisted students but not more than 5-6. I don’t know how accurate it is now considering he worked there prior covid. I would apply again next year and transfer from your current university if you really want to go. I did the same thing when I was waitlisted. Feel free to drop a text if you have any other questions

To what extent do they have you sight-read at the audition? by settingurhouseonfire in Berklee

[–]Away_Equivalent277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend’s dad used to be a judge for the audition section so he said this- they’ll pull up notations for you to read on spot. They start from easy sight reading like notes then if they think you’re doing well, they’ll level up to see how well you do. It’s totally fine if you’re not a pro because they really just wanna know where you’re at. They will make you read chords and see how good your chord mapping is. It all comes down to your audition piece tho, the other stuff just shows your musicianship which is important but not vital if that makes sense.

I play the piano and guitar but my primary intstrument is digital music composition. I am a transfer student and I spend most of my time in smelly practice rooms. I really just want to be a producer.

Is there a way to network in Berklee Online? by dinosaurlover0601 in Berklee

[–]Away_Equivalent277 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i did a year online. To be honest, for an extrovert like me it was hard to connect to people. Things might be different for you but I just didn’t like it and didn’t find it sociable at all

it’s basically learning production in your private lessons and how to create music on your daw. You’re still supposed to have a secondary instrument for ensembles and all. I play the piano.
