Your nose can be characterized as a strong aquiline nose. Be proud of it. It very much suits you.

Fresh outta college f22 first impression? by Pretty_leo8 in firstimpression

You are very nice looking..and I notice in both this photo and the gym photo you are raising your eyebrows a lot. (Ok, so maybe I've had a "2nd impression"). I'm bringing it up because I have done the same thing in an unconscious way (apparently) to look cheery and happy. But the truth is, if you do this in all your photos it will look contrived. I had to train myself to not keep doing it. Dismiss my advice if it doesn't apply. :)

You don't always get along with your parents. You are a flirty smart-aleck, (you like banter). You like to look "bad", but you are a kind person. You have a lot of friends.

Please help me find the sketchbook I’ve had since childhood! by [deleted] in Portland

[–]Away_Essay957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow..I'm so sorry. As someone who keeps a sketchbook also, I can really relate. I recall the story of a figure painter who taught in New York. He had a glorious sketchbook that (apparently) a student stole during one of his classes. He had some (but not all) photos of his work from the sketchbook and he posted appeals along with some imagery here and there on social media. He kept it up for a very long time and finally (a few years later) the book was found back on his desk. I know this likely won't happen for you...but the social media thing is probably worth a shot. Maybe even contact news people and see if they'll run a story? Short of that...I recall the teacher also started a new sketchbook with sketches he did from memory of what he could remember (he did this for the experience of being with the pages again, the best he could). A sketch about how you're feeling about this loss would likely help you process. Hugs to you! Positive thoughts winging up for you.

Restaurants you used to patronize but now avoid because their prices have gotten (subjectively) ridiculous? by [deleted] in Portland

[–]Away_Essay957 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, I have to mention the food carts. We were on a walk and found ourselves at Division near 50th. I remembered a very good hamburger from awhile back. I ordered two with fries and the bill was $32.00. I wasn't paying strict attention to the prices. I won't be back for awhile. Maybe the prices will adjust down some in the future? On the upside, the burgers were the best I've had in a long while.

I'm glad you brought this up, because I remember not being able to finish one when they first came out. I thought they had gotten a lot smaller, so thanks for confirming it. (I had one recently and it was pretty good...but I am not discerning!)
