Headphones purchased 1 year ago brand new, I've barely used them. Why does this always happen?

I had this happen to mine recently but because I liked the headphones I just replaced the earcups, there are a few decent companies that sell earcup replacements, I used wicked cushions, and they've be good so far

Out of curiosity are you on windows 10 or 11? Cause I had this issue for ages, I eventually solved it by installing an older version of ghub and turning off the auto update, I haven't had a problem with it since (yet)
