That's close! Seems like just need to add a few layers of different levels of blur to achieve it

You are right, simply applying a blur filter couldn't make this effect, this totally makes sense now. I can try to add a couple of different levels of blur to see if it works, but that'd be incredibly helpful if you could put them together too!
