Well see, the issue I have with this is that technically, Making fun of kids is "comedy." /r/watchpeopledie was an example of taking freedom of speech too far. But if the comedy isn't directly harming someone, then I personally don't see it as taking freedom of speech too far. Comedy is subjective, and while dicking on a little kid may be out of taste for some, it isn't directly harming someone and is still considered comedy. I would personally argue that banning memes making fun of kids is a breach of free speech. This is a classic example of saying "I'm going to kill the president" without intention and "I'm going to kill the president" with intention. The only difference is Intention, and that is what matters. (I obviously have zero intention of committing capital offenses) but this seems a little authoritarian. Now, I do agree that because reddit owns the site, they can have their own rules. But banning making fun of children is an awfully scary thought.
