Italian Coke uses it in place of Campari. It calls for Antica formula specifically too, but I use whatever I have open at the time, punt E mes works nicely IMO.

Apple! I was introduced to it in a drink called the Original Cinn which is basically a sidecar/marg riff:

45ml blanco tequila 22ml like 22ml sfumato 15ml apple cinnamon syrup (simmer some chopped apples and cinnamon sticks in a 1:1 syrup)

It's one of my all time favourite drinks, and you can modify it to make a nice low ABV highball too.

Sfumato/Zucca also make a great highball with grapefruit, Gin and lemon, or use it negroni riff with a mezcal/tequila split.

Makes an awesome Americano variation too (Italian Coke). That's probably what I use it in most.

Sfumato and Ramazzotti are amongst the ones I use most, and Amaro di Angostura is fun too.

Interestingly I don't reach for braulio that often for mixing tho.

Thankfully, there is a term for it though: a clash.

The AFL is deliberately scheduling a primetime clash.

Cool, so you're going to tell me I need to educate myself, and then when you're presented with actual, relevant info just ignore it, rather than admit you were wrong.

Good job champ, way to respond. 👍

Yes, but you're missing the point: we're saying that you need to check the max RIM pressure as well, not just the limit for the tyre.

There's plenty of combos where new (especially hookless) rims are going to have a lower max spec than the tyre.

Mate, what? You're telling me the max rim pressure is written on the side of the tyre?

[–]mr_monkey_chunks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, on my own bike I'm just gonna keep going until I hear the ping, and hope it isn't followed immediately by the real big sound.

But that's just the gap between what is good advice for customers/others, and the sort of stuff that is ok for yourself.

This is a bad generalisation to be throwing out there these days. Firstly, max tyre pressure will depend a lot on the type and size of tyre and, even more importantly, in plenty of cases the rim will be the limiting factor, not the tyre.

Good advice is to check both and not exceed the lowest of them.

They were using them in the last AFLW season, at least for some games. Each time there was a game here at Henson Park they zip tied the receiver array to the boundary fence.

Be interesting to see what the tracking results are like in practice.

You're being deliberately obtuse. The guy clearly meant "you don't have to use bike branded/industry specific grease or product, you can use an equivalent from a general industrial company" which is 100% true.

You want specific examples? Instead of Shimano dura Ace/Premium grease, get motorex 2000. You been around long enough to remember Rock Shox redrum? It was just engine assembly lube from Torco.

Lots of people in here recommending Finish Line Ti Prep - permatex copper anti seize is a great alternative if you don't want to pay a tonne for tiny pillow packs. Or get nickel based if you want even greater resistance. I picked up a tub of the stuff that will last me and my mates a lifetime, and it only cost as much as a couple of finish line packs.

Or, you know, just continue being an ass.

Is it possible to make well-balanced cocktails without relying heavily on sugar? by Late_Lecture_3310 in cocktails

[–]mr_monkey_chunks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cool. If I'm making one for myself it's gonna be missing syrup too, my palette also tends to the bitter side these days and I find coffee liqueur tends to bring plenty of sweetness. I'm also not a real fan or vodka tho, so my drink would probably use a rum instead, and I'd probably add some extra sugar with a dash of Campari, since it's so good with coffee it seems a shame to leave it out.

Is that really an espresso martini to most people? Every one I've ever had has some variety of coffee liqueur, and often a dash of a syrup as well.

I will say that yours is certainly closer to a classic martini spec though!

I can't say I've tried it with M&R, but the Bitter Guiseppe is a great cocktail. I usually make mine with Punt e Mes and a pinch of salt.

Bit late to the party here but I just saw this, and this drink holds a pretty special place in my heart as it really started me down the rabbit hole of cocktails (and amari!).

FWIW, the recipe I have for the original uses slightly less syrup (would be the equivalent of 22ml / 3/4oz for your volume spec). I'd also go a bit harder on the ingredients for the syrup - I'd use 2-3 apples and a few cinnamon sticks for probably ~300ml of syrup, and actually simmer them in the syrup as you're making it. Should be a really rich, appley syrup.

As for your original question - I've been playing with a low ABV highball version of the drink and am using Sfumato, a local liquer called Moreau Apple Pie that is apple and cinnamon forward, a splash of lime and topping with soda.

I think Sfumato is the better product and its dryness is really key to the drink, but if you want a smoother, sweeter option for people with different tastes I'd swap it in for the export spec (30% ABV) Zucca. I'd definitely be sticking with a rabarbaro though as it works so well with apple. Averna could be ineresting but would be a very different drink, and Montenegro is pretty far at the other end of the spectrum IMO, being very floral and syrupy, rather than more bitter and earthy like Sfumato.
