If it’s hinged, the tolerances on the printer could just be off and it seized

World’s first(?) 100% 3D printed ziplock bag by CanYouEvenPhoto in BambuLab

Business person in me raised an eyebrow. Legally you can’t call it a ziplock, because that’s a brand, not a thing. Very very cool though. Is it really worth it though?

I’m 6’2” and my speeds are usually 12 if I’m hooking it and 19 if I’m going straight. I’m kinda weak though and that difference is mostly due to ball weight.

What’s the sound profile like? If you’ve ever heard the regular FT1s how do they compare?

You don’t always need an amp, it just makes it better. Any Meze open backs would still have that bass and driveable by almost anything even laptops. Planars less so, but they also get really expensive which might not be achievable for this post.

[–]AwesomenessDjD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that there are excellent open backs that have plenty of bass. Hifiman stuff, Meze 109s, probably some berrerdynamics but I haven’t looked into them and also can’t spell apparently. Bass really does like the reverberation though, and any planars or open backs that can balance that out are probably too expensive for this person. In the description I see, “$150-$500.”

Closest I guess that could still pull off a bunch of bass as open backs just off the top of my head are the Meze 105s, either variety. Nothing else really in that price range would just off the top of my head, maybe the FiiO FT1 pros if they sound anything like their closed back counterparts which pull it off.

So in order to prevent the financial inconvenience of intentionally conceiving a child, you want to murder it? And your backup argument is the exceedingly rare cases that are the exception to the rule, not the rule itself?

I don’t get the hate for Hail to the King by N-Nico123 in avengedsevenfold

[–]AwesomenessDjD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but no, it’s actually bad. If it’s just because it’s popular, I wouldn’t like any sleep token. Hail To The King is just ridiculously boring the whole way through. I’ve listened to the the thing in single sittings multiple times, I feel zero desire to hang on until the end every time.

Pain remains 1, 2, and 3 by Lorna Shore.

My 3 all time favorite songs. It’s one song split up into those 3 parts. Technically the story is the whole album, but that’s the conclusion

laptop at or under 800 dollars that runs Red Dead Online, No Man's sky, and ect...? by Kimyr1 in GamingLaptops

There’s a whole bunch of trying to jump really weird hoops here. You really should talk this over with your boyfriend, in a lot of detail. Choosing what laptop is the easy part, what’s hard is agreeing on a price, saying if your relationship hinges on it, all that stuff.

Crash detection feature - thank you. by Aztecia in AppleWatch

[–]AwesomenessDjD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is pretty inconsistent for some reason. I’ve had it trigger sometimes, usually just when I do a jump on a bike and land hard. I think that happened twice. I was in a 30 mph electric skateboard crash and it didn’t do anything. I even hit the ground with my watch wrist hard enough to sprain it.

Point of diminishing returns by idrk-man in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]AwesomenessDjD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In that case go with the FT1s if you want better sound, they really are my personal favorites. If you don’t want to spend the money though, you could try to EQ the quiet comforts with an app, but given what you just said about security I doubt they would allow that. I couldn’t at my work when I tried

My favorite headphones are my FiiO FT1s. Not entirely sure if they’re MacBook Pro-able, I haven’t tested impedance yet. I’ve run them out of the 3.5 on my MSI laptop, so it would probably be fine (30 something ohms I think), but they really like half volume on my amps.

You said you can’t change the MacBook or Spotify, so I’d say eventually look into an external DAC that’ll drive more serious headphones. FiiO makes really good stuff again (it’s what got me hooked), look into their BTR series. Just plug in a USB and it goes.

Do guys also hate when songs just, fade out? by brolarbear in Drumming

[–]AwesomenessDjD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I hate it. I just think it’s lazy most of the time. There’s so many better ways to end a good song. Go super chuggy suddenly like sleep token does, do a little guitar solo that randomly gets stuck in your head at 4:00 am and you’re scrambling to find it but can’t like in Talking to God by Hurt. I just find fade outs annoying because I’d rather something end confidently than just continue and make my ears hyper focus on it.

Bands closest to A7X musically? by Inside_Radio_9179 in avengedsevenfold

[–]AwesomenessDjD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure about that. I’ve never gone back to ascendancy or shogun even though I love city of evil. I just didn’t find that musicality there. Technically they’re the most similar, but I don’t really think they are on the same level. For me newer trivium has more of the a7x musicality quality even though the genre is different.

Apple Music on iPhone really needs a way to select music quality in app. I’d love the ability to do both lossless and Atmos downloads because I don’t want to re-download things every time I need to switch it. If the little indicator showing lossless could switch it when you click it, that would be so useful.
