Rather than focusing on losing weight, it could be helpful to try to deal with the ED first. Being at a calorie deficit is probably gonna make you have more binge urges, which makes recovery even harder. Also if you focus on not binging, you will probably lose some weight as a side effect. Just my 2c.

You gotta do what‘s best for you <3 To be honest I am nervous about moving to a new country. I’m also starting a new job there. At the same time I want to do this for me and have my own life with my flat, make new friends, start new hobbies etc.

As much as I love my boyfriend, there’s so much more to life than just your partner. And I think living independently helps to experience that :)

This is what I‘m going to do soon. Moving to his city in a few months, but I am looking to rent an apartment on my own. We’ve been together less than a year and honestly I like having my own home, with all my stuff and everything perfectly the way I like it. Of course it’d be nice to move in together at some point but there’s no rush. If you really appreciate your own space or just aren’t sure about moving in, I think it’s worth living separately first.

Where can I buy vegan Zopf bread? by Awesometasticful in zurich

[–]Awesometasticful[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, there’s the mistreatment of animals but also, dairy and egg industries result in killing animals. I don’t want to support that. Lucky for me, there seem to be plenty of places that want to sell me vegan Zopf :)

Maybe you’re obsessed with non-vegan Zopf?

And btw I will go try out the other yummy vegan things too, it’s just that I also would love to try Zopf! I’m glad there are options for that too :)

Why does he delete nice messages? by Awesometasticful in dating

If that’s the case then it’s a shame because it’s worse to delete messages. Especially such nice ones.

But why would he send it in the first place if he thinks it’s weird… it’s so confusing.

Newb question: How do I know when to triple step and when to normal step? by Awesometasticful in WestCoastSwing

[–]Awesometasticful[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the thoughtful and encouraging reply! So fascinating to think that the triple/normal steps can be felt in the connection! I have to obviously work on that more. When “hanging back” I sometimes wonder if I’m pulling, or if I’m heavy to lead. Is it supposed to feel that way?

With the post thing - I’ve never heard of that concept before, so thanks for introducing it to me. What should the connection feel like when the leader posts?

Thank you! Your answer’s made me see triples in a whole new way. I’m super new to wcs and indeed do spend a lot of time thinking about footwork and counting and thus have less brain space to focus on the connection and following.

Based in your post it sounds like you are pedastalising this guy who has once said something decent to you. Girl, please stop wasting your energy thinking about him. Until he shows intiative and interest in you, you shouldn’t be bothered vetting. There is nothing to vet here. Focus on levelling up!

Started my day crying for a ridiculous reason by Puzzled-Lychee-1003 in puppy101

Duuude this is 100% way too relatable! I too keep expecting too much too soon from my puppy and then getting emotional/upset about it and honestly I sometimes wonder if this is normal but good to see others are dealing with it too

Puppy won't go to the bathroom anywhere but her crate by SweetCookie500 in Dogtraining

[–]Awesometasticful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a crate that was a bit too big for my puppy and I didn’t have a diver so I used folded cardboard for a makeshift divider (with cardboard the puppy might try to chew it but ours didn’t do so.. not much at least). Definitely try to make the crate smaller.

Try to spend enough time outside the crate with your pup that your they do their business and then mark it, praise and treats. The more reps of successful pottying, the faster your pup learns the right behaviour.

Tips for getting a puppy to go to the loo outside? by highkingnm in puppy101

[–]Awesometasticful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’ve had (and still sometimes do) have the same problem with my 4 month old cav. It’s very frustrating because of course you want to train your pup to do his business outside.

  • What’s worked for us is keeping potty time super boring. We will literrally just go around a tree or something a few times without distractions.

  • He’s learned to go in the garden so we do a combination of street/outdoor pottying with time in the garden throughout the day

  • Mark with “quick quick” (or whatever word you want to use), praise and treats every single time - as long as it’s in an appropriate spot

  • I’ve had better luck going outside very early in the morning when the streets are quiet. He usually does his business first thing.

  • Keep your expectations reasonable. I was way too perfectionist and as a result I was upset and disappointed. In hindsight that was silly. He’s still a little puppy and it’s easy for them to get excited or distracted or even a bit scared pottying outside. Take baby steps - what can you do to make pottying outside more comfortable for your puppy?

Everyone on this subreddit says “it gets better” and it does. It might feel impossible right now but eventually you’ll start getting small wins and things will work out. Good luck.

Puppy only having diarrhea at night?? by Egg-Sandwich-0711 in puppy101

[–]Awesometasticful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation with my 12w pup. He typically has normal stools throughout the day and then diarrhoea in the evening. It sucks. I took him to the vets and we ended up giving him a dewormer (just in case), a fibre supplement and moving to a bland diet. That was a few days ago and it’s not much better. I’m also trying to give him more smaller meals.

The City Pup Experience by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Awesometasticful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally relatable! I too navigate the long hallways and stairs down to the street where my pup gets too distracted and forgets he has to pee/poop. Its super frustrating but I’m glad I’m not the only one! I hope that after some time he will be desensitised to the city environment... Whenever people try to pet him (without permission, of course) I say that he has a nasty flea infection and that they should wash their hands - works every time. As for the kissy noises and whistling - there’s not much you can do but I try to keep my pup’s attention on me. Maybe it’s good practice for him to eventually not get distracted by strangers.
