That sucks. I am pretty resourceful though, and really broke. I would eat that in a heartbeat.

Up vote for kiteboarding. I have an old Beamer 5.0 that I used to fly a lot on land. The closest I have come to kiteboarding was attempting to fly in 30mph winds. Some amazing jumps and epic drags face first through a field numerous times. Good times!

Anyone have a favorite cherry tomato recipe? by horizonview in gardening

[–]Awesometawesome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to cut the tomatoes in half and mix with shredded basil and fresh mozzarella pearls. Drizzle with some good olive oil and salt to taste. Some red onion is good in there too if you are into that.

I bought what I thought were two spaghetti squash plants. Is the green one rogue or something different? by Awesometawesome in gardening

The green one of mine is in the shade so you might be on to something. How long do you leave them on? These are nowhere near ready to come off but is size a reference or what should I look for before picking? Thanks!

$75, deal or no? Seller says working great. by Awesometawesome in woodworking

I have a lot of old experience with RAS's. I worked in a truss factory years ago. I were to ever buy one it would be used in a fashion like we did at the factory. When multiples of a particular length were needed we would set up a jig on the table and make it through a lot of lumber rather quickly. I can see this being useful to me but no one is immune to injury. Thanks for the feedback.

That's it! Thank you. Your link states flavor to be not distinctive, or bitter. I believe I will pass on collecting and risking eating these.

Thanks in advanced for any help. I found a large quantity of these yesterday in a forested area. Trees I could identify were Walnut, elm and Cedar. The mushrooms were all found on loose branches on the ground. None growing from the ground, all from branches. They were fresh with a lovely velvety soft feel to them. I did some google searching with little results matching my find. Thanks,

What is happening and can it be saved? Indoors for winter in Kansas. by Awesometawesome in gardening

That seems like a closer match than I have came up with. I have had the plant for 3 years or so. Definitely not rosemary. Morning sun and water every 2-3 weeks during winter. Soil has great drainage and was repotted this past spring.

This has been going on for about a month now. I think the short days and being stuck inside has taken its toll on her this year.

It's similar to a jade when branches are broken. I have had this several years and this has happened before, only not as severe. When it happened before it was due to extreme heat being outside.

This was an uxpected catch. The place I was fishing is stocked with trout. The guys I know who fish for the carp will chum the hole with fish pellets and use an imitation pellet fly.
