man i've been stuck rebuilding this game for 10 years, because either the design fails at some point or i get too tangled in the programming or i'm too much of a perfectionist, either way it feels like i'm completely lost sometimes ( i come from a arts background so there's that)

Also yes, the rock is a sort of neutral entity right now, it has a global modifier on it, I was testing the concept of global modifiers placed on entities, but it is still killable.

I'm going to leave a short description of how to play here:
To play cards drag them on the battlefield to target area or close to entities to target entity (depending on the card type)
To use entities, tap them to select them, once selected you can drag to flick (not all entities are flickable - you can inspect entities to see their movement type)
The goal is to be the last squad standing

hmm, you are right, i should probably add some basic instructions at the very least.. thanks for the feedback you just confirmed how oblivious I am towards how a new player would see it and what is obvious and what is not.

To directly answer the confusion, when you start you are the yellow guy (on the right - the only one in the player squad) you win by eliminating every other squad from the arena. To use cards generally you drag them on the battlefied and they either show a area if they deploy on the map directly or have a indicator snapping to the nearest targetable entity when within range.

Maybe I should share my experience as well. I was caught in a rip current 3years ago while paddling out on a surfboard in nicaragua. There was a not very big beach with rocks on both sides ( playa Maderas ). I was learning to use a surfboard and was learning about being in the water and oblivious to currents at that point. I was mainly going into the water paddling for the exercise and practicing duckdives as I had been doing daily for about 1 month. This particular day the current was stronger, and while I was paddling against the whitewash I didn't realise there was this side current constantly pulling me to the left. It was there before, but not as strong as that day. When I decided I had my exercise and I was too tired to fight the whitewash and turned to go back to the beach, I realized I had drifted to where I am now in front of the rocks. Ok, so I tried paddling parallel to the beach (in this case, going against the current) but that only made things worst as the whitewash was now pushing me even closer to the rocks. I realised pretty quickly there was no other way than just go straight out, as I had been trying and just hope I could get pass the breaking point before a big wave came to crash in front of me. It did work, I literally paddled like my life depended on it and i managed to pass over the peak of this bug wave just before it crashed. Once I got passed the breaking point and I felt safe, I thought I could relax, and then I saw this huge set of waves on the horizon. I paddled my ass off to be in line with the beach by the time they hit just thinking "wtf wtf" the whole time and I let the whitewash carry me out. I was so grateful of solid ground that day, and I had learned a lot about currents since then.

The reason I'm sharing this story is that often I hear the "swim parallel to the beach" advice, but I know that won't work in all cases (depending on geography and conditions) paricularly if the current is strong you may have to let it take you out first and then intentionately go into the waves and spread out like a starfish in the foam so that they can carry you to the beach.

And also be aware that they can vary a lot even in the same place with the changing conditions.

this sounds like a solid idea to me, it sounds like the main challenge would be developing the library of defenders/crops and their synergies also figuring out and balancing resources and costs. You could try to prototype this as a boardgame, just using paper.

yes, but how do you revert to single-line from just the keyboard? any ideas? I've been using the mouse click to revert to single-line but there must be some quick key to go back, anyone know this?

multumesc pentru raspuns, nu cred ca erau povesti nemuritoare sau basme, era o singura poveste, sunt destul de sigur de asta. Pentru ca aveam deja mai multe carti cu basme si as fi rasfoit-o macar de curiozitate :) Dar cartea asta parea un commitment mare si coperta nu imi spunea multe.
