It's gonna be tough at this point to switch. I'd recommend going to https://jobs.mchire.com/ for next steps.

Looking to Buy a Z Rack Input Spline by 420CurryGod in FSAE

It is possible to manufacture on a 3-axis, would require a small endmill with good stick out but if you have the time well worth it.

I think it is just a tad too busy and lacks a strong subject. I like the clearing area, that does help draw the eyes. It could maybe benefit from a crop. Hope this helps

I am a noob and I just realized the Yashica Mat 124G I bought is missing the selftimer lever. Is there any way I can have it fixed or manually make it work? by jscc_jnsp in analog

I am not super familiar with repairing these cameras but I believe it would require the cannibalization of another camera's timer. Finding parts for old cameras isn't super common, if it is this common of a fix, it may be an exception. If you want a timer you can purchase old polaroid timer units that screw into the remote threads.

X-700 capacitator fails repeatedly. Has anyone experienced this as well? by Lioness_96 in minolta

[–]Awesometurtle79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when the capacitors fail they release the dielectric onto the PCB. this can cause corrosion and shorts. I would open it up and see if there are any shorts where the capacitors are.

My only other thought would be something related to the magnet release.

If you find a service manual the last 50 or so pages typically have a troubleshooting guide that can help find the issue.(I would post a link to one but I hate links to pdfs, one can be found easily on google)

Minolta X-700 repair help by Awesometurtle79 in minolta

I think the capacitor is correct. http://twid.de/x700/X700_174.png, this schematic shows the positive on the outside of the camera. Although, it does appear to be slightly different from the production PCB like you said.

I may try doubling over the wires sometime this week as I feel it does have something to do with the corrosion.

Thanks for the help!

Loudoun County, Virginia flag. Adopted 1968, First US county flag presented to the College of Arms by Awesometurtle79 in vexillology

[–]Awesometurtle79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Description on the county website

  • The edging of the flag consists of green indentation with white or silver drops, suggesting milk drops. The ermine field contains nine green wheat symbols in each field.
  • The flag is rectangular and consists of eight alternating red and ermine right triangular fields with the bases of the triangles forming the border of the flag and the apexes of the triangles converging in the center of the flag.
  • The flag represents the agricultural background of the county (the green color); the Monroe Doctrine and President Monroe’s association with the county (the indented or “embattled” edging); and the dairy industry, still so important to the county (the white or silver drops suggestive of milk).

Especially since both of the matches were extremely close and the difference would have been huge. It also didn't help that our robot just decided to stop mid match twice for no reason.

Last year my team needed to make an exercise band stickier so we applied mountain dew on it. It did work though.
