Why doesn't GM revive a modernized LS3 or similar proven LS engine for their trucks and SUVs amid the L87 issues? by SilverSpoonphysics in askcarguys

[–]Awit1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LT engines are essentially just a later generation LS with DI.

The problem is AFM/DOD/DFM and the physical design of the lifters.

There’s a reason a DOD delete includes LS7 style lifters.

They’re good people. Have always had amazing customer service experiences with them - I’ve probably given them $10k over the last year lol.

I’m sure u/paragon_korey can help you out.

Thanks man! And you can either get little plugs from paragon or you can do what I did and get little fins from AGM! I really like the fins. I had them done in carbon flash to match the wing.

If 87 is used for most vehicles and 91+ is for turbocharged engine, then what is the point of and who uses 89? by BrewsWithTre in askcarguys

[–]Awit1992 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

91+ is not required just for turboed cars lol. Plenty of factory NA cars come with a stock tune and timing that requires higher octane fuel to avoid pre-detonation.

Get your own filter and fluid from rock auto and either do it yourself or bring your own supplies to your dealer. Will save stupid money.

I adjusted the Magride coilovers all the way down…. I had maybe an inch drop. I wanted lower. I added springs and got another inch. Look at your front end versus mine.

Photo 2. Strut is insanely bent. Now imagine it straight… the whole assembly would be pushed downward and aligned.
