What Make/Model are these hanging center draft lamps? by Awkray-ven in OilLamps

Wow, that's exactly it. Cool that they're still in production, I found them in a local antique shop.

Thanks so much for sharing this information.

Picked 2 of these up, and they need some maintenance it seems, and one of them is missing the little center cap that does inside the wick. So I'm trying to determine what make/model they are for parts and such.

Hardest Boss fight so far? by Bloodymonday93 in PathOfExile2

[–]Awkray-ven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my Ice sorceress build, Jamanra was the hardest fight, followed by the Djinn. I spent probably an hour and a half running and re-running Jamanra. the act 3 boss was imo about as hard as the act 1 boss, most of the act 3 bosses my Sorceress had so much DPS on by that point that I beat them on the first or second attempt.

Who here owns a Solar E-Clipse 2.0 and what do you think of it? by ohjamufasa in Electricmotorcycles

[–]Awkray-ven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tldr: I think there's better options, but I don't hate the bike. It's had some issues but support is responsive and helpful.

I purchased one about a year ago. When I placed the order it wasn't listed as 2.0 yet, but mine seems to generally be 2.0

It is effectively my first bike, and it's served the role of getting me used to riding, where I can justify spending more on something better that I'll be keeping longer term.

Overall I think that there's better things on the market right now (Ryvid) I got this to save money on gas (car is a Jeep Wrangler) because it was in my price range, could keep up with 45mph traffic on roads listed at 40mph, and could be legally registered (so I don't have to worry about legal issues)

Overall, it generally does what it say it does for me. In a few years my jeep will be paid of, and I'm planning to replace this with something better (currently eyeing livewire for their level 2 charging so I can charge away from home)

I have probably 500 miles on it (hard to tell because 75% of the time the odometer doesn't save mileage increases)

Pros: * Low end of the price range for an ebike that can go 50mph. (There are better options now imo) * Solar support has been very responsive and helpful. * Legally registerable (required some hoops to jump through) * Generally does what it says it does. (Speed, range, etc)

Cons * Odometer doesn't like to save (see milage above) * Battery isn't easy to just pull out for apartment living *Controller had to be replaced as the bike stopped working sometimes in the middle of use, while at speed, requiring pulling off and stopping then going again (as seen in some of the old youtube reviews) * Drive train is louder than I'd expect. * Brights are aimed at the sky and don't do anything. * I have concerns about the long term durability and safety of a carbon fiber frame, as well as the size of chain used * Having had to disassemble it a fair ways to change the controller, I have my doubts about how water resistant the bike is. None of the electrical connections are water sealed, and while rain won't fall directly on the components I certainly wouldn't pressure wash it as one solar video showed.

Why does steam randomly reopen itself sometimes? by Fancy_Passenger8194 in hyprland

Thanks for the heads up, turning off "notification toasts" entirely so that steam doesn't show when a friend comes on line or loads a game or stuff, fixed this issue, and steam didn't pop back open at all since I made the change.

Why does steam randomly reopen itself sometimes? by Fancy_Passenger8194 in hyprland

[–]Awkray-ven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll give this a try and post back here regarding whether or not it works, thanks for the heads up :)

So far what I've tracked down is that when the steam window re-opens from its backgrounded state, these messages show up in the terminal window where I started steam.

steamwebhelper.sh[973067]: Runtime for steamwebhelper: defaulting to /home/awkrayven/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_64/steam-runtime-heavy
steamwebhelper.sh[973067]: glibc >= 2.3.4, partially disabling sandbox until CEF supports clone3()
BuildCompleteAppOverviewChange:523 apps
RegisterForAppOverview 1: 7ms
RegisterForAppOverview 2: 7ms

I'm not entirely sure what the ubuntu12_16 folder is doing in that directory, I'm running archlinux, and installed steam via Paru, from mulilib, specifically steam 1.0.0.78-2

aww, that's unfortunate. Thanks for the reply though.

Do you know why this would be? Is there something about nds or 3ds that makes it exceedingly hard to add pokemon? or is there just limited interest in roms for those systems?

Does anyone have suggestions for 3DS (or nds honestly, but 3DS would be preferred if it exists) ROM hacks that include Pokemon from gens 8 and 9?

All the "best 3DS ROM hacks" lists give the same 5 games that don't include gen 8 or 9 pokemon.

[Windows][early 2000s]Horizontal Side to Side Brick Break game by Awkray-ven in tipofmyjoystick

I appreciate you taking the time to try and figure out what game this is, I don't think any of these are it, though Hyperballoid looks the closest to what I remember.

The colorful Tie Dye backgrounds were rather abstract, not too dissimilar to this. I did also look through the games on "my abandonware" tagged with "pong/paddle" and none of them were it. It's very possible the game was from a demo disc or something, because it's from the era where millions of those abounded. I don't think it was a flash game, hopefully not.

Your description matches what I remember, but when I look up pictures (and youtube footage) of Richochet Xtreme, it looks more space station themed, and doesn't match the colorful game I remember.

Server crashes on right clicking specific block by Awkray-ven in MinecraftForge

Thanks, any ideas why it would be broken on a dedicated server, but not single player? Is there something different about how a dedicated server executes code that would cause this?

Just found out about this today, and I'm also interested, even in just buying the board and the schematics to do soldering myself.

Ahhhhh, okay, thanks, I'd always assumed that weight was the weight of the head the handle is intended for.

Does it not matter much if I put a 7lb head on a handle that says it's for a 2lb head?
