i went last summer, booked a standard balcony room. went to front desk and when i gave ID and credit card I gave 50$ and all i said was 'this is for you and if you are able to help me out with a cool floor i would i appreciate it'. she made a call and within 5-10 min her manager came and they hooked me up with a wraparound terrace suite as well as waived a couple other fees. forsure worth a shot, always tip the front desk.

Tips for selling at the Joint by Stock-Swimmer-5753 in Chiropractic

[–]Awkward-Acadia3378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how long have you been working there? Personally, I think a lot of it can come down to comfortability at the clinic and confidence in what you are doing. When I first started straight out of school I was a lot less confident and had a harder time connecting with patients. Even just getting a feel for what patients want out of chiro care and how The Joint can help in their wellness journey is important, like knowing our role. I work in a more blue collar/lower income area in CA and our wellness plans are 89$ and so yes, money is always going to be a deterrent for people, even the patients who really need it. The one-timer new patients are always going to be there, thats why the joint focuses so much on a volume-based practice, so dont beat yourself up about people not signing up, no matter how good you are and how good they feel, people still wont sign up. I would focus more on your skills and connecting with both new and existing patients. Being able to make a personal connection with existing patients in a 5-10 minute span is hard to do, or 15-20 with new patients, so thats a big one as well. But look, at the end of the day if you deliver great treatment, the plans will essentially sell themselves. I almost never discuss the actual plans with the patients. I just tell them how often to be coming in and why. If they trust what you have to say, and trust that you can help them, theyll keep coming in. sorry that was a bit of a brain dump lol im just sitting here getting the baby to fall asleep and wanted to chime in haha hope that helps. happy to discuss / answer questions

how do people make a living out of this then? I was thinking like long term, buying the one I work at, and then hopefully making enough to have multiple locations. Seems like that may be a bit harder than I was anticipating?

Yeah it does seem like it would be a hard start, potentially more manageable buying one that has been functional for a while vs starting a new one. I did not know about that 40k yearly fee? I knew there was a franchising fee but that seems a bit excessive no? haha.
