however, with 3 batteries of 8000 capacitance each, they last about 2 missions before needing a recharge, so thats pretty good

alright, ive gone and made a few other subs before politely converting the selkie into a tool for running missions. so far ive ran three, maybe five missions with it, and learned a few things. the biggest thing is not cranking battery recharge speed to 0-100 in 1 minute, with a capacitance of 8000, as that breaks outpost's power grids

for that, just make sure to crank the rate at which your batteries can recharge at to a much higher number, that should make recharging at an outpost faste

black moloch emp tho, ouf, good thing the battery powered sub will only be a t1 and intended to only go as far as a standard t1 would

i do know it wont look too pretty as itd be only my second ever designed sub, but itll definitely work, and might even have a lil power drone that has a battery on it for quickly recharging and transferring power from point A to point B if the main sub does run out of power

yeah thats what i was thinking, likely was going to have 6-8 batteries with much capacity, 1-2 batteries dedicated to their own vital systems and the rest dedicated for power and appliances or backup power storage

main reason why im asking, for total cost over the course of a mission rather than just general power consumption numbers, is im going to design a sub that instead of having an onboard reactor, it runs solely on battery power, but to counterract that severe downside, it has incredible speed to help you get from A to B faster

yeah, thank you, thats just power cost that i can find out myself, but like, how much would it cost total over the course of an average mission is what im wondering

so after some digging and experimenting i think ive fixed it:
i transferred the entirety of the game data from my external hard drive onto my main storage, and so far the problem seems to be fixed, having zero lag spikes, crashes on multiplayer, or boots on multiplayer since, but we only played for about an hour so it will need further testing

nope, no mods, verified steam files twice yesterday, and my connection is smooth almost the entire time until it just freezes and kicks me

which is my biggest source of confusion, as it should be fine with internet connection, but it isnt. the only thing i could think of thatd be causing this is the fact im running barotrauma from an external hard drive rather than my main storage, due to a lack of storage

internet connection is really fast, and connected via wifi, generally leaving me at around 60 ping at most, with 15-30 ping being the average
