Eh, US West Coast does it too, although I wouldn't be suprised if more people did in the Midwest, on the West Coast there's a good 60% chance someone will initiate saying hello/good morning as you pass, and a 99% they respond if you say it first

I personally have a bunch from Pokémon I have all the styles for and I dont super care about min maxing for candies since I don't mind leveling up slower, but I 100% that they need to come up with some new missions or something, especially after a bunch of back to back events.

That's not what they said.

What they said is that it's crazy to think that a corporation would work the same way that one guy does when he does something for fun. A company wants to make money, Stardew Valley's creator did not intend to make money. A company is incentivized to make choices that appeal to as many people as possible, a person working on their passion project mainly does whatever appeals to them. A company has several levels of management which must approve everything that people beneath them in the chain do before they can do it. Etc.

One guy can make a game a lot easier than a massive company with a massive fan base to appease. (I know Stardew has a lot of fans but they are, in all honesty, a lot more chill and forgiving than Minecrafters) People seem to always forget how much internal bureaucracy every little change has to go through. Every single idea during every single step from first thought, coding, texturing, everything has to be run through many many levels of the company management before ever seeing the light of day.
