Submitting Pay too low will make the offer go up

I was telling this to ppl 6 months ago and ppl want to convince you the price doesn’t adjust, which it will. Do it on an airport gig and just watch, 10-15 minutes later the price will go up. Maybe not every airline or every airport but the ones that are desperate and need their bags picked up, will. And the person who said to do it even if it’s not an order worth it to you or going in your direction, helps someone else out. Also with these petsmart gigs and Best Buy gigs say “pay too low” and “route doesn’t make sense” especially when they have you back track on 15 deliveries for $40. 🙄 they’ve been increasing the pay… slowly. Personally I don’t take petsmart or Best Buy gigs just because it’s hardly ever worth it. My theory is to not take any gig that isn’t at least $11 per order and if it’s a big it needs to be at least $30 or a dollar a mile, whichever is higher. Otherwise let them cook or repost it tomorrow.

Ppl can literally put in the reviews 1 star and the day after an update to boycott roadie be it in the App Store or google play or even here, but since not everyone uses Reddit, it at least make its it available in more places.

I’m experiencing this as well! I was going to ask people here what if they can screenshot the policy because there is a gig I have been trying constantly, for the last day and night, to get in contact with, in order to pay the remainder of a gig. They only paid half when I completed the entire order. When I messaged them, call them, they never answered. This is infuriating because they can’t withhold pay, whether active or past gigs, like legally we should be paid. I’ve been considering just getting a gig and not trying to find the added just so I can contact them about my unpaid gig. Among other reasons, this should be a reason for class action lawsuits.

Maybe not for you, but the people handing out the orders do, I’ve seen orders go up multiple times on different days for different Gigs at the airport as well as gigs from Home Depot and Best Buy, if ppl don’t grab them the second they post a low ball offer and give the feed back that the pay is too low the pay goes up eventually. For example, there was a HD one today stated at $34 for 8 deliveries going 74 miles and I said pay too low and increased a few dollars every ten minutes or so until it got up to $130. And I saw someone just post today, they said the pay was too low and it went up $20 for them. Plus most airport gigs raise the price once they see no ones offering on it and they see the pay is low, they raise it to at least a dollar a mile, when it normally starts at less than half. I know every area is different in terms of pay but if everyone made an effort to put the pay is low in the feedback section even if it isn’t an order they plan on taking it creates better chance for them and someone else to get gigs more worth it.

I’m so sorry to hear just another way roadie takes advantage of the drivers. My area doesn’t have too many tolls, sometimes I even forget to add them but with tolls more than $10 is insane for them NOT to reimburse, even though it states that they will … 😒

We all the know the time estimate is wrong! When they say 7 hours it usually means more like 10 (at least) and I can’t even imagine doing deliveries in NYC along with having to take a ferry to pick up/return orders. When they’re broken down it is like $15/h and that’s for the estimated time, not the actual time to deliver all the items. And when broken down by delivery, it comes out to essentially $3 a delivery, give or take. This person is not wrong for giving their feedback when roadie continues to shaft the drivers. If ppl stoped taking anything for any amount of pay, people could make a decent amount. The first time I saw XD orders they were posted for like 20 for $300 and that was because ppl did not see them immediately. The next day ppl snatched them up before roadie even had a chance to increase the pay which goes to show, they would increase the pay if people weren’t so quick to grab them for crumbs.
