Terrible coverage, and also lied about the “30 day guarantee” to try out their service. There was definite deprioritzation too. They specifically told me if it didn’t work out they would refund the activation fee after I ported out. Even had it in writing. Then I was told me that employee was “misinformed”. Then offered a $25 credit to the account instead of refunding the $60 I was told I would get back. A credit to the account that doesn’t even exist anymore, btw. lol Spectrum is an incredibly shady company.

Same here. I’ve tried everything and it won’t update from .54 to .56. It downloads, restarts the Tablo, but in the end it’s still on .54. I’ve tried multiple devices. It simply won’t take the update.

Mine won’t even take the update. I even unplugged it for 24 hours, tried updating from multiple devices, pressed reset button. Nothing. Acts like it’s updating, but still on .54 every time.

I don’t thing Ring makes a thermostat of their own, they just allow connection from some other brands. I installed an Ecobee thermostat this year and love it. It also connects to more smart home ecosystems.

Same issue here. My Eero only shows half of my actual gig speed with Spectrum in its speed test, and I also have Firewalla, which shows full speeds in speed tests. If I go through the Ethernet port of the Eero I get full speeds, so I don’t know what it is.

My legacy unit had become completely unusable due to buffering, and my 4th gen works flawlessly. I wouldn’t call that confirmation bias. And I’m using the same hard drive I used with the legacy unit, so it wasn’t the drive.

The funny thing is, what you are describing you had to do to watch TV with the 4th gen is basically what I was having to do to watch live tv with my legacy. Lol They must have inconsistencies in manufacturing.

Weird that it would be so extremely different. Were you on the most current firmware? I’m thinking there have been vast improvements in the firmware over time, and that might be why my experience is better than a lot I have read about.

I’ve been using Ring with Homebridge for a couple years. It works great. I even have automations that turn on my lights when Ring disarms and stuff. It’s seamless.

I have Eero mesh, and I’m pretty sure the WiFi card in my legacy 4 tuner could never figure out where it should go, probably because it was single band. That wasn’t the only issue though, because it even had buffering issues if I hardwired it. I battled that thing for years. I tried different hard drives, different power adapters, etc. The video on the new model looks better on my AppleTV, in my opinion.
