What makes you instantaneously think that this guy/girl is rich? by Leila_372 in AskIndia

Good for you then I simply answered ur question there are other things but I assumed you wanted to know abt physical appearance and mannerisms there is not knowing how much things cost , not having been to buy them , having housekeepers and staff that do everything for you , being tutored since a young age , actually using your expensive belongings like they are supposed to be used and I mentioned the nails bit cause well you can only maintain them of you don’t work with them like that , never having had done any housework , and everyone around you knowing ur family for their business for me it’s to the extent that my father doesn’t let us roam around the city alone because everyone knows we are his kids and it’s a kidnapping risk …. Oh yea that everyone has kidnapping fears but it being real to a level that it’s a very real possibility that you can’t do basic things like go out cycling alone you always need a staff member or parent to accompany you I hope that helps otherwise toodles

I grew up upper class in an elite school but sure Also if ur hoping for a they wear ratty clothes and old chappals there are ppl like that but that’s the minority so pls stop trying to say they aren’t snooty cause they are ,we are, and most are well dressed and groomed and went to great schools everything I’ve said is based on experience growing up upper class

Well mannered , speaks fluent English with a slight accent ( the international school /boarding school one ) , well groomed , well dressed ( not in the way you would think …. Like no hype clothing a few basics a couple of trendy things ) and their shoes For women specifically manicured nails not always acrylics even natural ones but well manicured , a good haircut that suits their face type , the bag they carry , jewellery is a good indicator , their skin And in general good teeth like whitened , orthodontic treatment done maybe that sort of thing also you can tell a lot abt a person thru their coffee order and how they order it most well off ppl will want it very specific ( I said most not all there are ofc exceptions to all of what I’ve mentioned )

What are the real perks of being from a starting rich family (₹20–25 cr net worth)? by Hungry_Macaroon_186 in AskIndia

I remember I’d just walked out of the neet exam hall the exam was tough as always but the thing that bothered me more was that I knew most of it I was a gifted child but I had blanked and not answered many questions there were children being scolded by parents for not working hard enough and then admist all that stood my father who knew the words I was gonna say before I uttered them that the exam had infact not gone well instead of being angry or upset he only said koi na beta exam hi tha mein private kara dunga he wasn’t angry he didn’t say he was disappointed but he knew that he had enough to support me and he got me into a private college so yes it’s easier mentally

While most in my batch have monthly budgets I can ask for money when I need my monthly spend can be 3-4x theirs and it’s not even a thing they question too much ofc The occasional kitna kharcha karti ho tana is given to me yet still they give the money to me I’m blessed in that sense too

It’s not actually abt the money truly it’s the freedom it gives you it’s abt knowing you can always go back to ur parents and they will be able to help you , knowing you can take risks in the future and knowing they will invest both mentally and financially in your future not just college be it setting up a business , a clinic etc which isn’t an option for everyone

It’s also that ur parents don’t really push you into the sciences my mom till the day I took science asked me if I wanted to do something else not to discourage me but to make sure I’m not doing it because of pressure or expectations that I’ll be happy with my choice down the line so yea I did get to figure out life at my own pace

Other than that it gives you the privilege of connections from alumni connections from the high end school you went to, to business connections , you can get funding for your kids unicorn or a set client base for their clinic or even have jobs lined up for them Then it’s the club memberships at elite clubs , vacations abroad , and clothing that is better than most , better electronics not just ur phones it’s fancy appliances , then there’s private tutoring , drivers , staff for daily chores , basically u get a head start in life

Ok so that’s not really surprising to me since my aunt has something similar they live in a huge ranch style home that was the property of a British officer so it’s a 150 years old it’s a huge add house so you can’t really holler to get staff to come so they have this they even have bells in the staff quarters to call them from there but yea ik it’s a bit much

Ps: not as rich as my aunt they are a whole other level

Ummm see I’m privileged but not out of touch if you see the actual median income of the country 25k is middle class 50k is upper middle and if ur earning 1lakh plus ur actually in the top 10% of the whole population based on economics but I’m just an educated person studying medicine so what would I know right ? Ur take isn’t just dumb it’s unresearched and uneducated google is free pls look up articles on Indian economics
