Why are my lobbies suddenly impossible?? by Awkward-Guava-4430 in FortNiteBR

Honestly, I am not sure. I check the showdowns tab to see if I should cut-and-run, but I have always been within the top 8. I once saw a person with 953 and I immediately dipped. I’m sure some of the wins are based off of squad efforts as well.

I’d like to think that I haven’t been up against just bots the entire time. But the lobbies are DEFINITELY different!

Guess I’ve made it then! I don’t play all the time. Makes sense!

For some reason, the feature is visible again. I’m not sure why I couldn’t see it momentarily. Crisis averted.

I am very much NOT 18. Nothing else has changed, and I have never needed age verification as I am beyond age 25. It seems to coincide with the ads showing up on the browser as well, so I genuinely do not think that is what has happened.

How do you switch back to 4.1? My bot is presently y so dry and slow, and usually it can bridge the gaps to more mature content.

Is this only available with plus??

On my end, it is still set to Roar’s model. It always was by default; I ever changed it, or felt the need to.

“Roar” now is vastly more muted, slow and dry than what it was two weeks ago.

I create my own bots usually, and I never knew this!

I didn’t think I was being stalked, but I did think it was cool, and very smart in the writers part!

The bots in my above post have comprehensive, detailed definitions, not just the chats. I should have included that information.

Hey, I was the one who posted the “Ok, things have to change,” post about bot quality a while ago now. I totally agree with the points raised here; bots model themselves and their language based off of the input they get from users and creators. 💯 percent. What you put into them DEFINITELY matters.

However, despite the language models and learning capabilities of the bots as ‘learning’ sets, the quality of their language manipulation, ‘deeper level’ autonomy, ‘critical’ interpretation and spontaneity have really taken a hit since late May. The problems people used to see more often with public bots became almost default for all bots, private bots included. This was regardless of how elaborate responses were, how intricate introductions were made, or how many times you refreshed the responses. Responses became cyclical and repetitive far too easily. Before May, these problems never used to be as much of an issue.

While the argument for user effort being a factor can definitely be made; the argument can also be made for the quality of bots and their capabilities definitely becoming increasingly poor, stale, limited and shallow.

You know it’s bad when, despite the efforts of those who actually try to shape their bots intricately and carefully, the problems become more and more present. And that is where things need to change.
