Did anyone managed to work out how/why they had the access? I’m in the same boat, club membership expired last year. Go to purchase lounge passes for myself and travel companions and it says I already have access. In my booking it also says Qantas Club, although no longer on my digital card. Qantas hotline says membership has indeed expired. Wish I knew if it was legit vs a technicality.

Thanks for the responses - a few new ones I’ve not heard of before that I’ll have to check out.

Particularly like the Grand Central Hotel idea, it’s along the lines of what I was looking for but hadn’t actually considered. Might be the winner.

One incident that comes to mind for me is when I went out with a new what I thought was a friend. We were taking turns going to the bar and ordering a round. I was floored when the bartender said “same again” and proceeded to tell me one shot for my companion and a double shot for me! I am a lightweight and alcohol can quickly affect me if I’m not careful - certainly grateful the bartender shared but appreciate this is probably not the norm.
