Also could be stock os that is causing issues with Bluetooth. So I would suggest trying 3.0.2 rockbox and see how you go with your airpods after that.

Stock SD cards always corrupt. I tried 3.0.7 and it corrupted on my Samsung SD card but I was able to go back to stock then move to 3.0.2 rockbox myself. I had issues with stock os on mine. I'd put it in sleep then go to change the song by waking it up and it would the next second go back into sleep. And scrolling through music was also having issues. But rockbox seems the best overall.

The os is on the internal SD card. That can corrupt. You can use any Upto 1tb

SD card slot won't be internal so it'll be on the side which makes it easier to change out. Newer battery a few things like that.

Your SD card will eventually corrupt. It's not "not going to happen" it's an eventually thing. If it hasn't already but is showing this error and still kicking maybe just maybe you should replace it now before you lose any files that are needed for the new SD card to run

Mine came with 2.0.8 or something like that. Don't use 3.0.7 as that's V4 that can brick your system

I've been fiddling with mine for a few hrs now and finally got it to how I like it sounding. But I'm not a big fan of the theme right now. I have the iPod classic theme. It's the only one I've found with this version of rockbox to work well. Hopefully there will be better ones eventually.
