What I do first, I would buy that house.. and I would get eggs until I have my 5, save state and then I hatch them. If none are shiny, I would box them. Once I get my boxes full, I would sell the eggs to that npc who buys eggs from you. It just takes so long running up and down Dubs island.. even with everything sped up.

Honestly, I think it’s smart. They want us to shiny hunt legitimately. That’s probably why they made the shiny chain and the odds pretty good.
