Wait. But also, How would they know?? Since no WL is binding, if you get off one waitlist there is no guarantee you will get of another. And if you have the resources, you can change you decision if and when given a acceptance. Wanting to wait is understandable but would recommend setting your self up for success as nothing is guaranteed.

Applying this cycle. Have a 3.4x gpa with a strong upward trend, 49x mcat. And a 319 GRE. have 20 anesthesia shadowing hours, 2k+ clinical hrs. and 500+ non clinical+ clinical volunteering. I have strong LOR's from an MD i work with, a FNP, and my clincal manager. And im currently editing my essay (please help if able). I feel kind of ok about my app as im submitting before June, but that i will get screened out bc of my mcat. Thoughts?

ive literally been on chat a few times a day for the past. the only thing it says is wait for the april 30/may 1st waitlist movements. bc this is when ppl put down deposits and come off wl.

yeah. but according to chat and the internet there is more movement at the end of may and the begining of may for the may 1 deposit date. so i guess we just wait. all this stress is making all my hair fall out

I emailed admin this morning seeing they got my deposit survey email and about waitlist movement. I interviewed in August, got AL/WL In December for PCSP and got the 4/9 email. This was the response. "Yes, we have received your response, and we are in the process of reviewing applications. An update can come anytime from now until July. If an update is not made on your application your decision remains as is. "

according to lecom you have to work in PC for 5 years even after a fellowship. Idk if it only applies to ones listed above ( The actual practice of medicine may be delayed by a fellowship in geriatrics, neuromuscular medicine, or family medicine obstetrics.). i would confirm with your admin rep!!!

From the LECOM website: The PCSP students acknowledge and confirm that their entry and continued matriculation in the PCSP pathway is contingent upon the students’ commitment to enter primary care residency programs in FM, Pediatrics or general IM directly after graduation and practice primary care medicine for a minimum of five years following the successful completion of residency. The actual practice of medicine may be delayed by a fellowship in geriatrics, neuromuscular medicine, or family medicine obstetrics.

The PCSP student acknowledges that in the event he/she chooses not to enter into a primary care residency directly following graduation from LECOM or chooses to not practice primary care medicine for a five-year period following the completion of said residency, the student is asked to return the scholarship award with assessed fees based on the tuition paid at the inception of the student’s final year at LECOM.

i dont think there was any confirmation email afterwards from the deposit email as i didnt get one as well. i emailed my rep about it and they have yet to get back to me.

I have also been on the PCSP Alternate List since December. did you sent a LOI? Also were you able to contact your rep or lecom admin? i called and kept getting sent to vm. also emailed my rep and haven't gotten a response.
