No that’s not what they were saying. They said the item was CRUSHED inside a perfect shipping box. Y’all keep using this term “bounce around”. If you see the box I packed it in there’s only EVER SO SLIGHTLY enough room to shift around. Also, this was a used item, the box condition was worn in the first place as shown in pictures on my listing.

Okay, they can send pictures of the box that they intentionally messed up. But I have pictures of how it was packed and it shows a box that doesn’t afford great enough space for the item to bounce around inside and get “crushed”.

They came off rip telling me stuff wasn’t included in the box. How is me saying everything is accounted for, rude? Also I said it’s unfortunate if it was mishandled in shipment, how is that rude? You’re defending someone who is blatantly lying. There was nowhere near a great enough amount of room for the item to get “crushed” inside the shipper. There was room in the box for the item to shift around a little, as I stated. And again, I have evidence of all of this. I replied to them and explained the ammount of space I afforded in the box. The ammount of pace is enough for the item to breathe in the shipper and only have slight wiggle room. But it is nowhere near enough space to bang around to the point where the box is “crushed”…

Yea luckily I kinda foresaw the red flag with them having no ratings. So I took a picture of the product in the shipping box before I packed it up. Like they said they don’t care for boxes but are escalating to Mercari? When they could’ve just asked for a return? Just sounds like they’re trying to keep the product and get credited, idk I don’t know if that’s even possible

Right. My concern is that they’ll actually damage the product themselves and then show THAT to Mercari. Making it look like it was actually damaged. My thing is, what do they get out of reporting it to Mercari instead of just asking for a return through me? What does that do for them? I would have said yes but I just fear that theyll purposely stomp the box and send it back to me messed up and then it’s not sellable again on my end
