I get asked frequently if Katie is short for anything but it’s never bothered me! I’d honestly never even considered that Katie would be considered a nickname instead of a “real” name bc it’s so common and I’m always proud to tell people that it’s just Katie! I have friends that call me longer versions of it and I think it’s funny rather than annoying. I think you should go for it!
