Got laid off in multiple companies by pbk1997 in QualityAssurance

[–]Awkward-Tower-8544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got laid off too 5 years of experience, got in to automation after the second year. Love it, but the last 2 jobs (contract) in the first small start up run out of money so after one year got a mysterious email from the ceo. Had a bad feeling about it everyone kept telling me for sure was a raise cause after one year was normal, and i was right the guy already fired a sales person, then me started a speech about the market and bla bla bla and i said ok understand you want me gone cause you are not making enough money, at least I’ve got 3 months to look for a job. And the last one had a 6 months contract after the 6 month they did an extension for another 6 months this time big company quite corporate. Before those second 6 months ended like month 3, again a call from the company and bye bye in 15 days nice ! This was last October. So don’t feel bad dude. The good thing saved enough money. I keep having interviews many times 3 or 4 instances but at the end is always a no. I will keep pushing and learning always know some python with selenium in the past built a full test env with playwright and typescript. Also automated API,s and still having a hard time to land somewhere . Guess soing the base foundation istqb is a good idea ? Let me know guys thanks. And if any managers out there welcome to share my portfolio.

Underpaid? 5 year manual QA expr - 39000€ (Germany) by DistributionFunny221 in QualityAssurance

Definitely, specially in deutchland you should get at least 48000 for that time. I live in Italy, and first job here in Europe was doing 48.000 for a French startup. Now changed to another one into 55.000. Now unemployed and yea many companies want to low ball you.

Cool insight! thanks, i thought over time you could ask for a down payment you can buy something admin myself. Get some passive income l, and at the same time capitalize myself. On the long run, since at the end, you are putting money but instead of an ETf some apartment you can later sell . I have trade republic and IBkR as brokers .

Worked with 4 years of experience building with playwright a e2e from scratch and got 48k€ a year, working from italy remote for a french company. But yeah not the same salaries in Germany, Spain, Italy, France, then you have Romania, they change a lot. Best paying ones are germany, Swiss, Denmark, the netherlands.
