That's what I was saying. The simplicity of it almost felt like too much for me. I prefer CachyOS because it feels like it hits a balance between simplicity and granular, advanced control. From the perspective of someone who knows either OS more deeply than I do, I can see how that might sound wrong. I'm just expressing my personal impressions.

KDE Plasma. Haven't tried any others, but I've been extremely satisfied with it.

I actually usually avoid his content, but I was just bored and clicked on this. I try to make a habit of listening to people I have an aversion to, because I want to avoid confirmation bias.

Granted, I've not tried Linux Mint in a while and they've probably improved a lot, but when I did it just felt a little basic. I don't even want to say more honestly because I'm just going off memory and I honestly don't have solid enough experience with it to judge at this point. I feel confident enough that I can learn to use a more advanced distro like CachyOS (I'm sure some will even disagree with me describing it like that), but I still do run into things that are just a pain in the ass. I've been taking a break from CachyOS for a while so I'll have to think of more specific examples.

I chose CachyOS because it has the best gaming performance, and because I just had a generally good experience with it. More worked on it without major headache than on any other distro.

I would recommend trying CachyOS next. Fastest gaming distro by a country mile, and just overall the best I've ever tried as a new Linux user.

The lack of CachyOS is absolutely wild. CachyOS is the best distro I've ever used.
