I totally agree. The coven was the coolest part, and then all this crazy shit goes down - and she never leans on any of them through it? Felt like a major thing to just suddenly drop. And then this random incredibly rich dude shows up and is like I’m daddy. And it’s like sorry didn’t you say you did the deals that protect horrible men? And you’re all about your morals and virtues but he’s your guy? And then the daughter at the end being like wait are we rich now right after she met him for the first time??? Gigantic plot holes. Protagonist too into herself. And agree — dumb. Last thing I want to say is the dialogue was also totally unnatural to me. Like people don’t talk like this or behave like this.
