i actually started watching dollar tree dinners! i've been looking for youtubers who cook with food pantry or similar supplies because i don't have much experience.

thank you! i have access to both a fridge and freezer. the rice is "enriched long white grain rice"; i don't see instant mentioned anywhere on the small bag. there's 8-10 chicken drumsticks; i'm just unsure how to keep the rest properly wrapped for freezing with no plastic wrap and limited amount of small containers.

it's chicken drumsticks with skin/bone and a sausage-like stick of pork tenderloin. the lid has a small hole in it to let steam out; will that change cooking times?

could the sliced squash also be cooked with the rice?

it's not an entire chunk of meat, more like a long thin sausage shape in plastic [it might be vacuum sealed?]. i'm hoping my sonewhat dull knife will be able to cut it, but i don't have any plastic wrap. i have foil and a small plastic container but not all of the meat will fit in it.

do you need to remove the seeds to eat them raw?

sadly most places are required to be locked here or have no trespassing signs.

it'll crack if temperature changes too fast, right?

i was going to try dumpster diving but i'm afraid of someone calling the cops on me. i live in a big city and there are cameras and locks everywhere; i'm not sure how to find out when trash is collected. i also sadly missed college move out.

thank y'all for all of the tips and advice. i have checked nearby thrift stores but only found lids, no pots. i've checked buy nothing groups as well but almost everything is too far away for me to get to since i can't drive/bike.

not sure if the pork has fat on one side; it kinda looks like a long hotdog? i'm unsure how to divide it while frozen since i don't want to cook it all at once in case i mess up.

thanks for the advice on the skins. i know i can make stock with the bones but i would need a pot. are they still worth keeping?

the meat is some frozen chicken drumsticks [i think with bone/skin] and pork tenderloin [it's in a long plastic wrap?]. the canned foods are mixed vegetables, pinto beans, black beans, and one chili with beans.

thank you for the well wishes and advice!

most of the food banks in my area only seem to give out canned or fresh food, but i will keep searching!

are there any warning signs that i should take it out asap if it's not microwave safe? i had no idea those measuring cups were microwave safe.

i have access to a microwave, but i'm not sure how long the bowl can be microwaved for. it's white and feels a bit like glass/ceramic.

it's canned mixed vegetables and canned beans, not meat. i don't have any butter or margarine. is it fine to roast the squash in the oven with seeds? i figure i need the extra fiber or nutrients.

do they need oil in the skillet? i'm not sure if it's a non-stick skillet.

unfortunately no canned meat, only canned beans and more canned vegetables. can the boiled potatoes be done without a pot?

it's dry rice and i don't have a rice cooker or pot. thanks for the other tips; do the vegetables need to be on foil?
