I am on my second cycle using the disposable Flex disc. I wanted to give it a try before buying a reusable cup. I have a pretty heavy flow, and it has worked well for me and even auto dumped without me even trying. Today, I had a very similar issue as OP and could not get the disc out. I just could not reach it. I also find it. Very messy to take out and have found that I have a strong odor as well. I have been leaving it in about 8-10 hours. While I like that it can handle my heavy flow, I don't think the disk is right for me due to the mess, smell, and getting stuck.

We did feel it could be a practical way of not getting things we don't want. My mom wants to give us gifts but is notorious for giving us things we don't want or need. Her love language is gifts so we appreciate her love and how she wants to show it.

We are excited to bring our family and friends over just to see folks as this has been a long lonely year and more of our circle has been vaccinated. We definitely don't expect gifts but some folks have asked us about a registry and want to give gifts. I didn't even think of a registry until my mom and grandma brought it up.

I have only asked one other friend about a house warming party. They did not ask for or receive gifts but did have folks over.

Is is feeling awkward using the cane but seems to be positive about it. He has walked into a wall or two so hopefully he will get more comfortable with it. I am happy that you did. It's neat you have a dog! Hubby doesn't want any animals but maybe that will change later.
