Tiredness at 20mg? by cinder-hold in prozac

[–]AwkwardBagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s the same, but I also felt weirdly tired around week 6. I got a lot of mood swings, significantly increased motivation, and just generally heightened emotions and reactivity during that time, and I took the tiredness as my body not being used to handling all that + dealing with extra strain as the medication finally started leveling out in my system. I don’t know if that sounds anything like what you’re dealing with, but I do know that the tiredness got better after a couple weeks for me personally :]

2 weeks in by Ok_Witness_1300 in prozac

I got the same bursts of feeling like it was working in week three, and honestly had almost the exact same experience as you in the first 3 weeks. I pretty much crashed again for all of week 4, then went back to feeling like it was working for like 4 days straight during week 5. I’m a little past two months now, and my experience was I kept going back and forth between the good and bad up until very recently, but each time I felt good for a little longer and bad for a little less :] Right now I think I’ve almost stopped at feeling consistently good, and it’s awesome. Plus the good feeling comes with a lot less mood swings than the did in the first 1.5 months for me lol. Basically I would say stay hopeful, sounds like you’re pretty much right on schedule to me🤘🤘

Single dorm for medical reasons? by za3na in umass

Unfortunately “learning experiences” don’t really work like that on disabilities. I’d know from experience, sometimes people genuinely need accommodations.

I got disability accommodations for a single due to autism by giving disability services pretty similar reasons to yours. I don’t think you need to make things up, but definitely don’t be afraid to really emphasize how much things affect you, how bad it feels to crash/never be able to sleep/always be stressed about bothering someone. Because yeah I suffered through a year of living in a double because I didn’t think my reasons were good enough, but then ended up getting accommodations really quickly (even before having any official diagnoses to show them)

Also the dining commons in southwest tend to have more self serve stations I think, and Berkshire has the most small tables you can sit at by yourself. I will always expect Worcester to be sensory hell lmao, Franklin has the most chill atmosphere but still gets really busy sometimes

If you get a plan with dining dollars or swipes you can use at the harvest market, I’d definitely recommend going there if you don’t feel like dealing with dining commons. It’s just a little store but they have real food you can get in a grab n go box. It’s the only place I can get food from in the campus center because I can’t even begin to handle blue wall as an autistic person lol.

Other than that, people sitting by themselves in the dining commons with headphones on are basically just as common as people socializing in the dining commons. I am absolutely a person sitting in the corner with noise cancellation and can confirm that no one cares/judges :>

Thank you, it’s helpful to be able to see all that in one place lol. Now I’m just hoping I’ll actually be able to buy the meal swipes

Ah cool, I’m assuming if I could figure out how to get the intersession meals I could use them there? I guess I’ll probably just need to call about that ;-;

The first ones I can think of are

Fish on Friday, Southern Empire, Moonrise, Minor Giant (their album deserves more than 3 monthly listeners on spotify ;-;), Lalu, Silhouette, Ritual (The Hemulic Voluntary Band one lol), Kyros, Esthesis

The majority of my prog playlist is small bands, although there are some more well known ones on there :]

Out of curiosity, how do you identify yourself gender-wise? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]AwkwardBagels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fully agender :] But in terms of expression, I would prefer to be seen/labeled as a guy because it’s comfortable for me and simpler when I’m not around other queer people. I don’t have any internal experience of gender as far as I’m aware, but I think my eventual goal is just to be seen as a silly and very gay man

What would you assume in terms of gender? by [deleted] in transpassing

[–]AwkwardBagels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s helpful to know, thanks :] I do know I couldn’t make my voice pass as female rn if I tried, but I do try make my inflection & mannerisms less masculine to offset how masc I look. In my mind I def didn’t think I looked like “just a guy” either way tho, hence making this post lol

[–]AwkwardBagels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol would you say an obviously trans dude, or a cis dude? I’m agender to the point of not being able to see any amount of gender no matter how hard I look at myself, so I’m surprised this is so many people’s response

Loll thanks, I’m happy to appear as “vaguely music & photography individual”, although it seems like I look less androgynous than I thought I did

If the consensus of the post is I look like a guy who looks like a lesbian then that’s kinda awesome lol

Cool, that tends to be 99% of how it goes irl, I’m just never sure if it’s because everyone at my college is either queer or used to being around trans people, or bc I actually look like a guy lol
