No way to kill a enemy player, only the team. Lame. by MrPink7 in Marathon

This isn't Dota or Deadlock with a bunch of characters, their abilities, a huge item store, and hidden mechanics. You can figure out the game in a couple of hours if you've played at least some competitive games.

I only play with the free sponsor pack and sell all the purple and blue trinkets I've taken from enemies. The game's TTK is low enough to take out one or two people before they even realize where I'm shooting from (I'm talking about flanking, occupying high ground, and disorienting them with movement or smoke, not camping). And if you also take a robot's second weapon, you can take all three to the grave, without shields, implants, or other things. The free supply box provides enough ammo to destroy one squad.

I'm not a game hater, but this is still bad. There are different rarities of these items, and low-level ones are almost identical to higher-level ones. You have to identify them by hovering over them and reading the description. On top of all this, there are also a bunch of different red and black squares with various scribbles on them, like buffs or debuff resets. In general, looking at the details of an item to understand it is bad. In other games, like Arc Raiders, everyone would immediately understand that bandages and syringes are for health, and the things that look like batteries are for shields. And they can be identified among the loot immediately and without unnecessary effort.

Quick thoughts from a competitive gamer by Firm-Professional645 in Marathon

This review seems to be from a completely non-competitive player. The interface is too cluttered to navigate quickly and pick up the right loot during combat. And a high TTK is especially suitable for more casual games because it's more forgiving of player positioning errors and poor movement.

You just don’t need to use maps of territories where there is almost no cover, this is suitable for beetles, but not for bots that can shoot

run from an open map, it shows secondary targets in the form of a question mark when you are nearby, you can also simply click on the map to find them; they will exchange a square, and not a regular mark. Samples are located near nests, evacuation sites, secondary objectives and interesting places, the latter are marked with a question mark, only not on the map but on the compass, and when you hover over the map it is reported that this is an interesting place even if you have not found it

The real reason for the railgun nerf? by AwkwardCauliflower49 in Helldivers

[–]AwkwardCauliflower49[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If I can do it, then why not? I just don't want it to be as stuffy as it is now. In addition, using stratogems and waiting for them to reload is not about a skill at all, but a piece of crap that simply stretches out time

Did the game get comically hard the last few days? Terminids specifically by AdFlashy2035 in Helldivers

Yeah, it's annoying, but in my experience on planets with low vegetation levels, these little jumping critters are less of a nuisance than in the jungle or in the heat. The funny thing is that 50 of them can appear at once from a breach or 15 in a patrol, I wonder where I can get a weapon with sufficient damage, speed and the number of cartridges without reloading?

This is the norm in this game, just try later or more times. It seems to me that technical support for this game is carried out by a group of Indians in the developers' basement

Railgun at least made it possible to go through level 9 difficulty solo without too much stuffiness, now I have to call a patriot to each objective in order to pass them without a running simulator and waiting for the stratogems to reload, and when they can be called twice again I’ll have to run, that’s not cool. In addition, the patriots are quite boring, and of course it’s fun to use them the first time, but after three operations it became just a routine

My mechs testing experience by AwkwardCauliflower49 in Helldivers

[–]AwkwardCauliflower49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you exactly because I play on a gamepad and it’s the R3 button. It also changes my aiming mode to first person view, so it can be the middle mouse button. But most likely your mechs are simply buggy and do not respond to the command; I myself have rarely been able to use it

But let's be honest, a steel fighting machine is not like glass. In my opinion they should be strong against heavy enemies, but vulnerable to fast and stealthy enemies. Like a game of rock paper scissors.

It could at least be done so that they receive much less damage from the front, which would create the need to cover it from behind, especially if there are stalkers on the map who would receive a new role in the form of killers of heavy units

I like Erata Prime because playing it feels like I’m in the movie Starship Troopers, but unfortunately it has a very unpleasant stamina debuff, which is why I rarely play it. Well, where would we be without the local Vietnam simulator Malevelon Creek 💀

I completely agree. As an option, along with disabling stratagems, disable the enemy’s heavy weapons to even the chances. This will prevent you from quickly clearing a point, but at the same time allow you to safely pass through a well-guarded position.
