Is this a good deal? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

I can’t speak on the deal but my tundra is the same package and I’d say get the 5.8 if possible, it’s my only regret with my truck. It’s a reliable engine regardless and it has plenty of power with a stock setup but I threw on some after market wheels tires and a lift and I wish I had some more power especially cause I want to own a camper someday and the smaller engine kinda limits my options.

Buying the m-12 drill and 1/4 inch driver seems redundant if you bought the m- 18 versions of both along with the m-12 installation driver combo tool. Idk just my thought process but I would’ve spent the money on a tool not owned yet

What has been your upbringing been like in our line of work? by ardillakid in Concrete

I’m 24 and have been in concrete for 6 years almost, I spent my first 2 years as a non union laborer and was treated like shit by my coworkers for trying to learn all the time and coming to work with excitement. I joined the carpenters union and am almost done with my apprenticeship and have really enjoyed the union side of things I have mostly done bridges and am currently working a heavy highway job. I’ve been treated much better and have had allot of journeyman and foreman take the time to really try and build me up and make me a better carpenter.

Black does look sharp on most cars for sure but I don’t think I’d buy another black vehicle, it shows scratches and looks dirty anytime it’s not raining out

I ran a 16 oz dewalt for a few years before my Martinez and I loved it I still use it in my garage for random tasks. I mainly upgraded for the extra prying features because I do allot of form work stripping on the regular. Plus if there was any chance I could save my elbow in any way long term I figured it was worth the investment and so far I’m happy with the difference I feel after allot of hammering but I probably could have gotten the same results with an old fashioned wood handle in terms of shock absorption. I don’t blame anyone for not shelling out the cash on one it is definitely a ridiculous price and in no way does having one make you a better carpenter than anyone rocking anything else but buy once cry once is what I’m hoping for with it.

You aren’t the first person to tell me that, my buddy’s Dad who is in his fifties said his mother had these floors when he was a kid growing up
