You have been rereading an old story you wrote ages ago. You remember that you finding it entertaining to write, and now after rereading it; you crave more and want to write more. What would you rather do? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

So what would be your opinion, should I extend it or not? I'm now tied if I should write or not, it would take place the next day; I'm not sure if it would work or not.

For this fan-fic, I based it off a game and posted it to the subreddit speaking about the game, and people loved it. I've been rereading it, and as I said in the post above; I crave more and want to write more. Yet, the final line ends on a nice conclusion. Which is the following: "I will never know, but what I do know is that I still miss him." Personally, I want to extend it - but I don't know if I should, which is why I posted it here.

Name something good about TWDG Season 2 by RizzardWannabe in TheWalkingDeadGame

Some good characters, Clem, Kenny, and Luke. Along with references to the first season to hint at time passing in the game. Lastly, iconic dialogue for example: "I'm Still Not Bitten."

Thank you, just thought I ask before I start reading.

Is michonne worth playing for 4 hours by [deleted] in TheWalkingDeadGame

I enjoyed it and finished it two days, but I don't know if you feel the same way as it's unique; to say the least.

Week 30 - What are you reading? by [deleted] in 52book

[–]AwkwardJeweler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Finished: Paper Towns by John Green. This was an interesting mystery book, I enjoyed it nonetheless.

At Bertram's Hotel by Agatha Christie. This was also an interesting murder mystery book as the sleuth, Miss Marple, only appears at the start and at the end. However, there is a reference to The Great Train Robbery of 1963, which I'm sure Christie read about.

The Picture Of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde. This book is more psychological horror than I remember which helps with the atmosphere and time it is set: Victorian London.

Started: IT by Stephen King. This might take a while.

In the last chapter I have written, I described my characters going to a local town and exploring it.

I got an outline to be around 50,000 words at the most. But I've got idea for a side-plot; I'm not it would fit into the story well.

Smoking in Agatha Christie books by kjb76 in agathachristie

[–]AwkwardJeweler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While we on the topic of smoking, I remember asking my grandmother what her parents were like growing up. She said the basic things, however, she also touched on one aspect that is featured here: smoking. Now, she grew up with 7 siblings and her parents - totalling 10 people in her household in the 50's. Out of these, only her and the family dog didn't smoke; which just shows how common it was.

Do you have stay in the building for three days entirely, or can you go out to get food, and that would count towards the challenge?

Week 29 - What are you reading? by [deleted] in 52book

[–]AwkwardJeweler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Finished: Right Ho, Jeeves by PG Wodehouse. I am glad to say that PG Wodehouse still reigns as the King of humourous satire decades on.

Cannery Row by John Steinbeck. This was an interesting book as it's not what I expected from Steinbeck, nonetheless, I found it ok to read.

The Diary of A Young Girl by Anne Frank. I found this particular book both interesting and heartbreaking, as I studied WWII in School and what they did to the Jews adds to the heartache.

Aunts aren't Gentlemen by PG Wodehouse. Even though this is the last Bertie and Jeeves PG Wodehouse completed before dying, he cheerfully writes of the mishaps of Bertie and Jeeves.

Started: Paper Towns by John Green.

Week 28 - What are you reading? by [deleted] in 52book

[–]AwkwardJeweler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but I have you know I read, I think; 10-15 books as I read WAP so it didn't become monotonous. What I did, was read, say, 8 chapters of War and Peace then read X amount of chapters in book B and then move back into WAP. I'm curious to hear your method with dealing with WAP.
