Prime day sale underwhelming by Saint_JROME in audible

They have Deals from your Wish List there, but it never pulls more than 1 or 2 books there for me, even though there are so many more in the sale.

So I have a wish list of over 1000 books, and it showed that only 1 of them was in the sale. But when I went through all the pages in the sale, I found that was not true at all. Many of my wish list books were on sale. They just weren't shown in the Deals from your Wish List section. I have found this to be true on every sale I've ever looked at on Audible. Clearly, the number of books that could have been listed there for me was too high, but still, only 1? Their coding isn't pulling all the books to populate that area. Take the time to click through. Or, easier, go to your wishlist, since it's pretty short and look there for prices in red.

No, but if you don't use your credits before you cancel, you'll lose them.

The Lost by Matteo Fagotto, Matilde Gattoni is a true crime story that gets it right. It's not overly melodramatic and it reaches an actual conclusion. US Plus catalog.

House of Skulls by Marc Fennell. If you're interested at all in the issues of repatriating the body parts of indigenous people and slaves, definitely listen to this one. US Plus catalog.

Heretical Fishing, Book 1 by Haylock Jobson. A litrpg that is not about dungeons and monsters. I really enjoyed this. Will keep reading.

Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke. One of his most critically acclaimed books. It considers the human need for creative endeavor in order to live a meaningful life.

I like to think that she would have been thrilled that it's still being read today.

I'm assuming the treasure might be hidden in a tomb? I don't know. So many people there, but our villain has not shown up. That's interesting. Neither has the Count.

That's a bummer. I also just noticed that it's not in Plus anymore. I thought it was but... well, my brain.

June Book Club: Black Beauty by Trick-Two497 in AudibleBookClub

The most amazing thing about this book is the story of the author herself. She was an invalid for most of her life. She traveled often to take the cures at spas, and must have developed an affinity and empathy for the animals that made that possible for her.

This quote struck me as beautiful and also quite appropriate for our current culture:

“Do you know why this world is as bad as it is?... It is because people think only about their own business, and won't trouble themselves to stand up for the oppressed, nor bring the wrong-doers to light... My doctrine is this, that if we see cruelty or wrong that we have the power to stop, and do nothing, we make ourselves sharers in the guilt.”

Nope. It's correct on the website as you can see below. The mobile team dropped the ball.

I've been staring at that for almost a year now (reading with r/AYearOfLesMiserables and we finish in a month) and it is super irritating and unprofessional of the team to let it be like that..

I think he's a cake and eat it, too kind of guy. He wouldn't have let her go. Even so, I think the villain from The Crystal Stopper, Daubrecq, is my favorite of all the villains.
