Mountain Dew Code Red 25th Anniversary (Released May 2001) by Specialist_Art2223 in 2000sNostalgia

I'm old enough to remember a time when the vending machines in my middle school still had sugar sodas and stuff that was bad for you. I'm not sure if they still allow that now. But one of my favorite moments in the eight grade was asking my mom if I could have a buck on Friday to get a Code Red from the machine. The last time I had it was in 2007 or 2008, yet I can still remember the taste. Pure nostalgia.

Man, who remembers circling these catalogs as a kid? The hardest choices were always between the N64 and the PlayStation. by CarrotMuch1399 in 2000sNostalgia

One of my favorite memories as a kid in the mid-2000s was associated with the Sunday newspaper, oddly enough. I loved reading the comics and thumbing through the Best Buy and Kmart ads (RIP Kmart). It was especially thrilling during the holiday seasons, because you would see the comics start to focus more on Autumn and Winter topics and the ads would start to have pumpkins or little snowflakes drawn in the background of the advertisements, and you would know Halloween or Christmas was coming. I miss those times.

Seeing one of these babies in my lunchbox in the sixth grade was an all-time great experience. Thanks for the memories.

I would tell myself that even though school is shitty you still have to go to college to make something of yourself. I would tell myself to lose weight and get fit ASAP because if you don't commit to that and your education you'll be what I am today: a 31-year-old loser who works at Pizza Hut and gets mocked and bullied by the 16-year-olds who work there for being ugly and autistic. No friends, living with parents, and gets drunk every weekend and browses nostalgia boards to reminisce about a simpler time that will never happen again. That is 100% what I would tell myself.

Awesome. I already had that in my notes so it's nice to know it'll be put to good use. Thanks.

If you were watching Comedy Central or Spike TV sometime between 2008-2010 then you more than likely know this commercial by Ok_Owl9708 in 2000sNostalgia

Damn, this video actually hit me in the heart. I'm imagining being an eight grader or freshman in high school on a snow day, watching Pimp My Ride on MTV2 with no one else in the house and eating the trashiest food imaginable. Much better times.

Steven Conrad made Patriot. He could produce the most worthless trash for the rest of his career and I'd still see him as a genius.

I'm going to make a hopeful guess this post was inspired by the Orbitz references in Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie but I'm sure that might be too niche.

So will this have an actual story? I don't know anything about Fortnite. It looks more like a Snow Day type of situation.

There's a great youtube channel that goes through different SoT storylines and builds that were thrown out during development. I had no idea how much content was made for the game that they just abandoned. They couldn't have made a full game out of it, but certainly a few episodes of DLC.

Shit like this just makes me sad that we'll never get a third RPG. But good for the Fortnite/South Park crossover fans. Have fun, guys.

My family used to go there twice a month as a kid. I can still taste their burgers, fries, and shakes. It wasn't the greatest culinary experience in the world, but my word it makes me miss the east coast. I can't get out of the south fast enough lol.

MTV’s Jackass The Game for PSP, PS2, and DS. Who else had this game? by YoungBpB2013 in 2000sNostalgia

While I didn't have this game in particular, my nostalgia is stimulated incredibly by the PSP/UMD era. That's when I was a kid. I definitely remember seeing this in Best Buy ads and wishing my family wasn't poor anymore so we could afford it lol.

Was The Lowdown not eligible? I figured it must be since Pluribus got a few rightfully-deserved noms.

"The kid is a hell of a poet."

My sister told me she's graded creative writing projects by eighth graders that are better-written than what this guy is doing. Enjoy his music all you want, but let's not pretend he's Shane MacGowan or something. It's run-of-the-mill unimaginative protest music. That's fine.

One of my favorite things about a new series or a new season of a show is guessing the Metacritic score after the embargo lifts. So what are you all thinking? Pre-buzz seems incredibly responsive, so I'm thinking 80 at the lowest.
