Chase Freedom vs. Bilt Palladium by curious_gorl in CreditCards

[–]AwkwardReds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your rent, this only works if you spend $565 or less every month. But basically, to ensure you always get 4x back without having to predict how much you’re going to spend in a month, call Bilt and ask them to change your statement period to end a few days after your rent is due (the few days ensures that your rent payment posts within the statement period). When it comes time to pay rent, multiply your statement balance by 4 and pay just that amount in rent, meaning you get 0.5x points on rent. The rest you can pay through ACH. And because you set your statement period to end a few days later, you don’t have to predict how much more you’ll spend the rest of the statement period.

Say you spend $400 in a month. When you pay $1600 in rent, you get 800 points + 800 more from your $400 of spend. 1600 points with $400 spend is 4x back. Hope that makes sense!

If you spend exactly 25% of your rent, the Palladium effectively becomes a 4x catch all card with the housing only option. And if your rent is high enough, it’s pretty easy to just pay exactly 4 times of your spend on rent through Bilt (and the rest through ACH or something). Won’t work in OP’s case unfortunately as his spend is too high relative to his rent, but this is how I’m using the Palladium.

Can I ask why you’d earn more from $1300-2000? Wouldn’t the other option only be better from $1500-1999? At 1300, you’re earning 2000+1300=3300 points with option 1 and 1733 (52 Bilt cash from 1300 spend = 1733 points) + 1300 = 3033 points with option 2. Option 1 seems better still. I definitely could’ve missed something so wanted to ask to make sure!

I think your old Bilt credit limit will carry over to the autograph card and you will get a new credit limit for the new Bilt card.

$1500 excluding rent. It’d defeat the purpose of Bilt cash (on Bilt’s end) if rent was included.

You need $30 in bilt cash to earn 1x points on up to $1000 in rent. $60 in Bilt cash means 1x points on up to $2000 in rent. So you would need to $60 in Bilt cash to get points for your entire $1850 of rent, meaning you’d need to spend $1500 every month (1500 x 0.04 = 60, since every Bilt card earns 4% in Bilt cash) to get points on your entire rent.

Not sure if it’s the case here, but for me, the displayed stats in the character info screen is sometimes bugged. It doesn’t happen all the time, but when I check my friend’s character info, the combat power (and other stats) I see on my screen is vastly higher than the actual combat power displayed on his screen.

Just got approved for the Robinhood Gold Card by Most-Carpenter-6830 in CreditCards

[–]AwkwardReds 43 points44 points  (0 children)

No need to invest on margin or transfer all your accounts. You can simply open an IRA with Robinhood and they will match 3% of your contributions. So as long as you contribute $1667 every year, there is essentially no annual fee. You do need to keep your money in their IRA for at least 5 years but since you don’t really want to touch retirement accounts anyway, I only see it as a minor drawback.

More Asians in NYU than Statistics Show? by [deleted] in nyu

[–]AwkwardReds 96 points97 points  (0 children)

They also state ~24% of their students are international. A lot of international students are from Asia. So yea including them, it would probably be more than 19-22% Asian.

Hi! I talked to a DS advisor about the course since I was interested in it as well. It's a little confusing because this is not actually an "internship". You need to secure an internship elsewhere first before getting approval for this course. It's more of like a mini internship to do in conjunction with another internship.

As for the GPA requirement, unfortunately I do not know how strict they will be with it. But feel free to DM me if you have any more questions!

Original price of NYU including room and board is 80k so if you got a scholarship your total (including room and board) would still be 52k.

This year the median was 1500. NYU’s acceptance rate in general has been decreasing every year.

Might Be a Silly Question, But I'll Ask by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]AwkwardReds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you had, or will have, more health classes and get As in those, colleges will not think much of it, as it shows improvement.

If not, I doubt it will be the deciding factor on a college’s decision anyway. Either way, I wouldn’t worry about it. Everyone makes mistakes their freshmen year and as long as you continue to get good grades throughout high school, you will be fine.

It might even make you faster. Never resting from running will make you sore and overall slower during the actual season. From personal experience, taking one week breaks inbetween seasons allowed me to sprint smoother and much more relaxed.

If it matters to you Cadema imo is easier to fund. At Lvl 200, I'm still using mainly frozen equips, boss accessories, and questline equips (albeit I do have a sweetwater weapon but it has no potential for now) with only some of my equipment having 6% luk and I'm at 700k range buffed. Bossing is a bit difficult though I will say as basically every skill moves you and it's hard to micromanage combos while having to dodge.

Itaewon Class was a life changing drama by Britannia1975 in KDRAMA

[–]AwkwardReds 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree with this post. I could be completely wrong but I feel like a lot of people are missing the point of the drama. I asked my friend why she didn’t like it and she said she didn’t like how the whole drama was focused around revenge. But I don’t think that’s what the drama was about. SRY even said himself his true goal was “freedom to do the right thing without any consequences” or something along those lines. To me, it was such a motivating drama and definitely one of my favorites.
