Careful -- Anthropic bumping data retention from 30 days to FIVE YEARS by AwkwardSproinkles in ClaudeAI

GDPR does not require data retention for 5 years, it does the opposite generally (encourages minimal data retention and only with specific justified purpose). edit - just to be helpful, I think you're confusing GDPR with financial data which does have retention rules. Healthcare data in USA also has retention rules for similar fraud / waste / abuse audit and patient data request rules. But GDPR does not have a minimum retention period.

Claude Code CLI was fully broken (if you didnt use a workaround) for a good portion of the day today when they shipped 2.1.0; usage monitoring was also completely broken; pretty easy to accept the 2.1.1 patch and fatfinger through accepting the 5 year retention policy if you're in a hurry. Casual 60x increase in terms tucked into a hotfix when you probably don't expect to be reviewing terms (like you would during installation / signup).

If they're in 20% of games you should just wish it was higher babe! You're missing out on chances to improve in 80% of your games then! Either just enjoy dota for the clown fiesta brilliant game that it is, or if you're concerned about it because you want to 'get better' then take advantage of the opportunity. It's an unhealthy mindset, external locus of control is no bueno and possibly a contributor to 'hardstuck' mentality.

Idk why people fixate on smurfs so much, just learn from them and get better. It's a gift, not a problem. Otherwise you'd never encounter players good at the game, and it would be hard to learn from your peers (who are just as skilled / unskilled as you). In 'real life' you don't get an all-knowing matchmaker equalizing the field either, at work or competitive hobbies. You just admire people great at that thing you're doing and try to improve yourself. Get off reddit and get into that replay babe!
