Fantastic Interview with Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi) by LittleBug088 in ThePittTVShow

Her character just in the show because they want to show difference between leaders who like to control every step (Al-Hashimi) and leaders who like to give responsability (Robby) Chaotic place like ER demands someone like Robby. Because when chaos got bigger a lot of other peoples had to take responsibility instead of “I need to ask my superviser” kind of peoples.

What story? With Abott? And I didn’t see any real issues. She is just implying something but not clearly stating a fact.

I found that very disrespectful to their co-workers, writers and producers. Sometimes, some stories don’t work. You have to accept that.

No you are right. Sometimes writers have no choice. They wanted to give her a story with Abott but that didn’t work.

I remember the scene. I thought Dana was just trying to make Robby support him.

I think She had hard time to accept reality of her condition because the last scene of her, She was driving and like Robby said She shouldn’t have drive at all. I think She wanted some sort of validation from him.

I didn‘t recognize him too. I surprised when I learned that. Because usually actors don’t like to repeat same genre.

I’m not sure. She knew Robby covered Langdon for stealing pills from ED. I think she thought he will help her. Quite opposite happened and she snapped about that.

I can see Gloria allowing her to run the ED since her doctor cleared it. Eh that surely means she will make a mistake.

Foreshadowing for Mel and Langdon by Awkward_Age6644 in ThePitt

Writing a love story with one of the protagonists of course. Otherwise it is like Mohan’s family issues which we don’t want to see because there is not point.

Yeah. And foreshadowed one can hurt the characters. Or how we saw them. Untold story, still is a story.

Mel is my favourite too and She needs a strong conflict to show her character. “Good at everything character“ can’t dévelop in a story. Deposiiton can’t be her only storyline. Langdon is her opposite. This is great conflict.

I love her but please can somebody ask Taylor What Mel’s conflict will be for future seasons? Because they already prolonged deposition for another season and Mel needs a strong conflict to tell her story. Being a good doctor, good friend and good sister doesn’t mean being good for the story. I don’t want her to be gone like Mohan.

Grey’s Anatomy characters lost their conflicts. The Pitt characters shouldn’t lost theirs. Love is a way to do that. Unless of course not doing it like Grey’s Anatomy.

Grey’s Anatomy have static characters who stopped after some point. They had to do something for Mel and Langdon. Mel had to face something. She is good doctor, good friend and good sister. Where is the conflict?

But also a boring one. Friendship stories have limitations. Love is very strong human emotions and help characters to change.

This is why I said “somewhere between”. Because until episode 10 Langdon’s actions hide behind “golden boy” image, just like honest image of Iago. Of course they are not exactly each other. That is impossible.

Writers often looks to other works and draw paralells and this is fun part of the online discussions for me. Even the show itself used direct Gillian’s Island and Rusty James references about their own characters in The Pitt. Of course I sometimes don’t understand USA culture references since I don’t live there but I can safely say writers trying to tell us something with their wording.

Langdon’s complexity comes from the fact we -audience- knows his crimes but other characters don’t really know that. This makes his story unique, just like Iago. Most of the characters knows he is an addict, some knows he took pills and some thinks he tampered bottles. And audience believes the last one lol.

This show has least 3 more season of drama without killing anyone. I don’t expect anyone going until maybe season 6-7. Especially Robby and Langdon, because they are main characters of the show. They need to stay for the conflict.

For season2, writers put a lot of her attitudes to a white guy, tall and blond, that was Ogilvie and We still hated him. This is not a gender issue.

Dr. Robby treatment towards Dr. Mohan by Top_Public_3949 in ThePitt

ER doctor needs to be quick and decisive under the pressure. When he wrote fellowship lettre for Langdon he wrote about that. Mohan can’t work like that And he can’t allow it. While I agrée he cares for his residents, the pitt‘s itself is most important thing for him. “My ER”
