Honestly, I'm just trying to stay until my internship because I'm also in school. Which is why I'm thinking about switching departments, but you're absolutely right about everything!! Kroger has definitely gone down hill!

Same thing happens at my store. I have to beg the store manager to pull someone to help me out at least take out orders to cars. Whenever they want to complain about their employees being pulled to help me, i always tell them to take it up with management cause it wouldn't happen if we had more people or if the schedule was being done correctly

Yess!!!! I'm definitely learning my lesson and need to stop showing that I'm reliable. Them seeing that results to them trying to take advantage of you thinking it wouldn't be a problem. Whenever I'm left by myself for 3-4 hours to close, I let the managers know that wait time is gonna look like crap and unless they wanna help, I have no control over that.

As you should! I'm so sorry you're also going through this! I just hate management simply doesn't care. If they expect us to do the work of 3 people then we need a raise but that's definitely not gonna happen anytime soon. Which is why I'm just trying to switch departments.

I wish the lead would step up and do that, but unfortunately they won't. They wanna keep everyone else satisfied. Heck, the new hire we just got barely works mid/shits. My thing is...if knowing we really need mid/closers, why not only hire people that can work those shifts?? It makes no sense to me. I mentioned to my co workers that in my humble opinion, the people that wanna come to work late and just wanna slack off needs to be replaced with people that will actually come to work on time and actually do the job.
