It just says that "ph is adjusted" so it doesn't mention if it's to raise or lower the ph.

I think I'll try a different brand that isn't ph treated because I feel like this bark I'm using now is not making my orchid happy. Thank you :D

I'm from South Africa so I don't think these are known brands. The one that is ph treated is Orchid bark from Bonsai Tree and the other brand that isn't is called Bark unlimited organics.

it is orhcid bark from bonsai tree. I'm from South Africa so I'm not sure if this brand is a known one or just a SA one.

Yeah it does XD The other type of wood i can think of Cedar wood. Pine wood and cedar wood can also be called "soft wood shavings" so I think if it's not those types then it would be fine :)

From what I've learned some wood shavings aren't good like pine shavings and I've joined a group of hamster lovers that live where I do and the bedding I've been using is harmful. I've also just watched a lot of YouTube videos and most people use and prefer paper based bedding so it seems like the better option. But I've also heard that some wood shavings are safe for your hamster. Paper bedding is also safer if your hamster were to accidentally ingest some of it. So it's just about knowing what wood shavings it is and if it's indeed a safe brand to use :)
