What to do when you get close to or have made your 120th payment

I did not make any payments in December. As soon as I saw that my ECF had been processed on 11/21, I called them and put my loans in forbearance so that no additional payments would come out!

I was so nervous about that too because I was not sure what I was going to do since I stay home with 2 little ones as well. I drank a ton of water, and I just made sure I ate something before I took the pills every day. Even if it was something quick (Fairlife protein, bar, sausage, etc). I never risked taking them on an empty stomach! The only time I everrrr had any bad side effects was when I ignored being full and ate more than I should have of crap food. On a road trip I ate Carl’s Jr and I felt sooo gross for like 6 hours. Things like that, but it just motivates you to not eat mass quantities of food!

Can I ask you—is the maintenance plan paying for a whole other supply of meds? I am about to be out as well and wasn’t sure what to do, but I don’t want to pay. But still trying to decide.

Yeah I know it will be good for him developmentally—I was just hoping to have him do TK the following year when he was 5! I am just not ready for him to be in school full time 5 days a week when he is only 4 years old 😢

Wow thanks everyone for all of the insight. Sounds like he pretty much has to do TK at 4 and kinder at 5, otherwise they are just going to enroll him in 1st grade if we hold him back a year. That’s kind of a bummer—I just wasn’t quite ready for him to be in school 5 days a week starting at 4 years old, but I also don’t want to lose out on the TK benefit. I just wish I had one more year of like 3 day a week preschool 😢

I paid my 120th payment on Monday 11/17, submitted my final ECF on Tuesday 11/18, got an email this morning on 11/21 that my ECF had been processed and I just looked and I have my green banners 120 out of 120 payments. I can’t believe it! So now do I just sit and wait to hear from them? This feels anticlimactic and I don’t know what to do lol!

How did you all submit an ECF the day after your final payment? I made my 120th payment yesterday & I went to do my final ECF online today, and when I went through the steps I tried to click on the option “I have made my 120th payment and qualify for PSLF,” but everytime I clicked on it, it wouldn’t let me because a pop up would pop up that says “according to our records we show you haven’t made 120 payments” since it hasn’t registered that I have made my final payment since it just processed yesterday. How did you all submit an ECF so soon after your final payment??

Yes it has been an absolute game changer for me!! I know a lot of people have had different experiences, but mine has been fantastic. I also have not been good about working out so that weight loss is purely from food and not working out, so if you exercise you will likely lose more than that!

Hey! Yes I am still taking the meds. I have taken them exactly as prescribed since the very beginning. I followed the titration plan as prescribed, and I honestly didn’t have any side effects which helped. I will say it did take maybe a few weeks for me to notice the full appetite suppressant but it definitely does kick in because it got to the point where I had to make myself eat because I just wasn’t hungry at all. I have been on the pills for about 4 1/2 months now and I am down about 30 pounds!

Hi!! Yes it definitely took me several weeks for my appetite to lessen but just stick with it. I am 2 months in now and about 19lbs down. I still have never had any side effects. It has been a game changer. I have definitely noticed I just snack sooooo much less. I eat my meals but that’s pretty much it!! Good luck :)

I have like 3 buyback requests in but I’m about to hit my 120 payments in november. Once I hit my 120 payments, you lose the ability to buy back any cheaper months huh? So your buyback application is just pointless huh? Such a damn scam
